ATTENTION PLEASE!!!

We have a new receptionist as most of you know. She is asking everyone to reschedule like we always tell you but some people have not been doing that. Some of it is when people pick up that are not the usual person, they will tell us that they will call. But then they don't and call when it's time for their dog to be groomed, then we have no space for them. I have multiple regular clients calling trying to get in ASAP. But I have NO availability until after Christmas. None. The other groomers have very very few spots available before Christmas. We stress the importance of rescheduling at pick up so you do not lose your spot. Please reschedule your pups when you pick up. If you are not picking up yourself, please tell whoever is to make sure they reschedule it.

We have a new receptionist at the front desk so phones are being answered once again. Today was a great first day but it is completely new for her and she is still learning everything as we go. Be patient with her and with us as she gets acclimated to the shop and the scheduling system. The system is easy, but understanding the schedule and what dog works where will take time.

Luckily one thing that is different this time is she doesn't have to get to know me or my ways. Being that she is also my mother, she has a pretty solid understanding of who I am and why I am the way I am 😁. I can be a lot for some people and I get that. Im easy going but man I like to work and I want to be around people who like to work and take pride in what they do every time.

So I would say get used to the new face at the front desk because she will probably be there as long as we continue to do this. She left her job at the hospital where she had been for many years to come and be a part of the team and help me out and I am really excited and optimistic about the business going forward.

We are currently without a receptionist and pretty overbooked most days. I am doing my best to get to the phones but there are a ton of messages. If you have called and left a message i will get back with you in the next couple days at the most. As always if your pup is here being groomed and you have not heard from us, then we are most likely still working on them. Each dog takes a certain amount of time to finish. We make sure that we do not cheat you, your dogs, or ourselves out of a proper service. The majority of the days scheduled over the next few weeks were done when we had more staff and intended for them to be here. Now we do not have those staff members but those that are here are doing their best to get everyone out in a safe and timely manner. Thanks for your understanding and continued support!

We are still looking for help in our bathing area. Hours are M-F 8am-3pm or M-F 11am-4pm.

We are a fast paced salon with plenty of work to do. There is lots of cleaning involved as well. Working with dogs is not an easy job. You may love dogs and they love you, but they may still not want you to dry them and you have to learn to work with them instead of against them. It is a rewarding job, but can be frustrating at times so you must be able to control that.

There is a lot of standing, bending, lifting involved in this job. If you are not physically able to be on your feet all day and bending over for periods of time, this job is not for you. If its difficult for you to lift or hold weight, this job is not for you. There is p**p and p*e to clean up and a**l glands and dirty butts and eye boogers. If you don't want to do or touch those things, this job is not for you.

We were beyond shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic passing of one of the co-founders of Paws Town,, Madison Durham. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Madison, especially her husband and young boys. This is a tremendous loss for her family and anyone who knew her.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote for us in the Owensboro Living Best Of Owensboro. We once again received the Platinum Award for the Best Grooming and also the Best Boarding/Daycare. Thats 3 years in a row you all have voted us into the top spot and we can't thank you enough. We have built a great clientele of people who trust us to take care of their pups through consistently holding ourselves to a high standard of the quality work we provide. Awards like this show that hard work is being recognized. So again thank you to our great clientele for always showing up to support us with voting and just recommending us. We still get by on word of mouth and we hear from new clients and see the Facebook mentions from everyone who tells people who the best place in town is to take your pups!
