🌟Chelsea Appreciation Post!🌟 At Urban Ridge, we love to celebrate our hard-working adult amateur riders. Chelsea (aka Chelsea DiPeppe and the owner of URGO Beauty), had a fantastic return to the hunter ring with her horse Ego while in Venice. The pair was 2nd, 2nd, and 4th in a competitive group of horses and riders in the Adult Amateur Hunters. Congrats, Chels!

Results wrap-up for Venice: All the horses and riders had a great show filled with learning, fun, and prizes. Some highlights from our last week:
🎉Taylor Howard and Engelo won an o/f class among other top ribbons in the Low Adults
🎉Rylan VanCourt and MTM Snowday did the same with a win and top ribbons
🎉Rennie Dyball and Hollywood's Eleven won a Low Adult Equitation class and got great ribbons in the Low Adult Hunters
🎉Lauren Reck and Davenport Z were Reserve Champion, AA Hunters
🎉Brittani Director and Gannon were Champion, AA Hunters
🎉Ashley Nokes and Delta Blues improved with every trip and snagged good ribbons in their first show in the Younger AA Hunters
🎉Anne Foss and Luric got great ribbons in the Long Stirrup
🎉And last but not least, Erin Howard rode to top ribbons on Fortitude, even earning his signature happy "grunt."

Our last week at has been a great one so far!

⭐️Hillary Obrecht Fleming’s Ritmo Zapoteco was champion in the 3’ with Nicole
⭐️Brittani Godfrey Gannon won a class in the 3’ with Nicole
⭐️Rennie Dyball and Hollywood’s Eleven won a low adult equitation class
⭐️Lauren Greenfield Reck’s Davenport Z got great ribbons with his mom and Nicole in the 3’
⭐️The AAs and Low Adults are off to a fantastic start as well, and plan to finish our strong on our final Sunday of the show.

⭐️Anne Foss and Luric have been working hard and knocking at the door for some time now, and VET III was their week! Anne won an over fences class and was Reserve Champion in the Long Stirrup Hunter in Venice -- her first win and first tricolor at a rated show. Congrats, Anne!⭐️

Derby fun with Ritmo today!

Derby day! Nicole showed Davenport Z, Gannon, and Ritmo Zapoteco and jumped around beautifully. Davenport Z finished 8th out of a competitive USHJA National Derby field, and Nicole scored an 86 with Ritmo in the first round, but an unlucky late rail kept them out of the ribbons. All the thanks to Kat, Erin, and Ashley for the gorgeous turnout.

VET week 2 is complete - the sun came out and so did the A-game! and Delta Blues finished out their first AA division with great rounds and ribbons … and Gannon were reserve champion in the AAs … Rylan and MTM Snowday had a great showing in the Low Adults including 🥈… and had great rides and prizes in the Low Adults and Child Adult Hunter … last but not least, and Fortitude were 8th out of a big class in the USHJA National Derby. Congrats to all and thank you to , Ashley, and for all the hard work! Onto week 3 💪🏼

It was a cold and rainy start to week 2 in Venice but Anne Foss’s Luric brightened things up with a clean sweep in the USHJA 2’ 🥇🥇🥇🥇 and so did Hollywood’s Eleven, who was reserve champion with Erin Murphy Howard!

Katrin Urban’s Fortitude and Nicole were 8th in the USHJA National Derby, and we had a great start for the adults on Saturday with ribbons for all, including Ashley Nokes Reidenauer’s AA debut with Delta Blues, and a blue for Brittani Godfrey and Gannon.

Some highlights so far from Venice Equestrian Tour at Fox Lea Farm:

Nicole Moran got the horses off to a strong start earlier this week:
*Fortitude: 3rd in handy along with other great ribbons in the 3'3 Performance
*Davenport Z was 4th in 3’3 performance and 1st in the hack
*Gannon: 1st and 1st in the 2’6
*Ego 2nd 2’6
*Engelo 3rd 2’6
*Ritmo Zapoteco 1st USHJA 3’ & Reserve Champion
*Luric 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, USHJA 2’ & Reserve Champion

All of our adult riders rode well and got great ribbons, too! Congrats to the owners and lessees of MTM Snowday, Fortitude Imagine Dragons, Hollywood's Eleven, Delta Blues, Ego, and Engelo.

It’s been a fun few weeks of showing! Everyone has been riding great. Just a few highlights of late ... At McDonogh, Grace and Archie looked sharp in the show ring while Emma made her leadline debut on Little Bleu. Today at the Vintage Oaks Halloween show, Emma’s mom Golani made her triumphant return to showing with a long stirrup win on Summer. We spotted some giraffes on site as well, and had a blast in the pairs class. Congrats to all! 🦄🏅

Only the best for Truffles! She got a bath today and then got to graze on only the seeds! Her fav 🥰
