🎄🐾 12 Days of Christmas Cheer – Day 2! 🐾🎄
Today's treat is for your furry friends! We're sharing a Homemade Candy Cane Dog Treat Recipe that's festive, healthy, and full of love. 🐶❤️
🎁 Ingredients:
-3 cups whole wheat flour, divided, plus a little extra
-1 Tbsp warm water
-1/4 cup peanut butter
-1/3 cup pumpkin puree
-1/4 cup beet puree
-1/4 cup mashed banana
-1/3 cup applesauce
-1/3 cup spinach puree
🎄 Directions:
-Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-Mix the first set of ingredients (1 1/2 cups flour, water, peanut butter, pumpkin puree, and beet puree) to form a soft dough.
-In another bowl, mix the second set of ingredients (1 1/2 cups flour, banana, applesauce, and spinach puree) to form a soft dough.
-Add extra flour if needed to make the dough workable, like playdough.
-Roll each dough into 1/4-inch thick strands, then cut into 6–8-inch pieces.
-Twist one red strand and one green strand together and shape into a candy cane (or other festive shapes!).
-Bake for 20 minutes or until slightly browned. -Cool before serving.
