I just finished the limited time foraging mix! Woodland Wonder will be available this week - just in time for Crabcon! 🍃

Woodland Wonder includes;
Rosehips
Oat Straw Tops
Chickweed
Acorn Cap Pieces
Sea Grape Leaves
Honeysuckle
Alfalfa Leaf
Oak & Sycamore Twig Pieces
Burning Bush Leaves & Twigs
Oak Leaves
Maple Leaves
Sycamore Leaves
Elm Leaves

This mix literally took me months to prep! I foraged most of the leaves, cleaned them, hand sorted and cut or crumbled them, I gathered the acorn caps and twigs and cut them into smaller pieces, some of the honeysuckle was gathered from my backyard and slowly dried, It was a labor of love and I'm so happy with how this came out. It'll only be available until it sells out - I won't be restocking it. I made a huge batch so hopefully everyone who wants a bag can snag one! 💚

The isopod overflow bin got some love today! I've been potato trapping isopods and trying to get the numbers down in my 55 gallon tank. This is their newish digs (it sits on top of the 75 gallon tank so it gets enough heat). They got a little water dish also - but I added it after moving the bin back to where it permanently lives.

They got fed - figs dusted in calcium powder, a dried veggie mix, chicken feathers, shell pieces, a few mealworms, a cod skin & beef trachea piece, lots of leaves, flowers and bark pieces. They get fresh food scraps about 3 times a week and I usually leave the potato in the bin for a day or so when I add new isopods.

I don't refresh their food or foraging as much as the crabs but sometimes I'll toss in the crabs old food or any leftover calcium/worm castings.

We've been slowly working on the office since we moved the tank out! It's coming together (not too bad for only spending about $75)! I still want more for the gallery wall but we want to go thrifting for more unique pieces. It's been so fun for my husband and I to both put our own touches on it. Plus it has been so nice to have a place where we can relax or game together. 🥰
