🌟STATE FAIR🌟

Everyone did fantastic at state fair — we are so proud of all of you!

Ethan was champion in 11th grade trail & reserve grand champion in senior hunter under saddle, Bella won reserve champ in 9th grade trail, Liv won champ in 12th grade trail and got a purple in poles, Ellie made it to the junior finals in both ranch walk trot and ranch pleasure, Elsie placed 4th in a TOUGH showmanship class, Lily was 2nd blue in English walk trot, Kendall recieved blues in both of her ranch classes, and Brooklyn recieved a blue in a tough ranch walk trot 🥳 trainer Maggie Dale also made it to the finals (top 15) in the cowgirl queen contest out of 60+ riders!

🌟COUNTY FAIR 2024 SUMMARY✨

Team Haven Hills had an absolutely FANTASTIC county fair! Everyone rode well, displayed top tier horsemanship AND sportsmanship, cheered each other on, and had fun. 💜 we are so proud of each and every one of you!!

It was a bittersweet show, as it was the last county fair 4H show for our two seniors, Liv & Brooklyn. We will miss them dearly in 4-H, but we’re excited to see the great things they accomplish in the next step of their lives!

The Haven Horses received treatments today. MagnaWave can help with many things, including improved movement, decreased pain and discomfort, and expedited healing. Our horses work hard for us, they deserve a little pampering.

Laredo’s rear was stiff. That is why you can see his tail twitching in the video.

Same horse, same kid, same show… 6 years apart. What did it take to get here? A determined and hardworking rider, dedicated parents, and a team of professionals working together to ensure the rider and horse were healthy, trained, and properly equipped.

Thank you Maggie Dale for your solid, professional training, and the enumerable ways that you support our barn and kids.

Thank you Garrett Nietert for taking AMAZING care of our horses’ feet and for patiently putting up with Laredo the first few years.

Thank you McNutt Equine Veterinary for your guidance and support and for answering our calls and texts day and night.

And thank you Matt Krieger for supporting Ethan and Sara through the ups and downs of training and owning horses.

At Haven Hills, kids do more than just learn to ride — they learn to interact with horses safely and kindly, and how to groom them and prepare them for riding.
