It was an amazing, educational weekend with Florence Wetzel of Try My Bits.
Florence offered an outstanding lecture Friday evening about the history of bits & the importance of a properly fitting bit. She detailed how the bits move when rein pressure is applied, and revealed how many believe a bit is kind when it is actually the opposite.
Saturday morning started at Freestyle Farm and we watched Florence work her magic. She described why she chose a particular bit for each horse & the horses showed us through their behavior that they LOVED their new bits.
Saturday evening and Sunday morning are pictured here, with Florence at High Point Farm. She helped to bit young horses who are yet to be started, snaffles & double bridles.
We can’t say enough good things about our experience and would encourage every horse person to seek out Florence and her expertise!
