So you have found a stray dog? This is copied directly from our very own Butler County Animal Friends Humane Society animal shelter. Where the owner is going to look for their dog if they are not on social media.

If you found a dog in Butler County:

Check the dog for identification:
If the dog is wearing a Butler County dog license, you can search for owner information on the Butler County Auditor’s website. https://butlercountyohio.docupet.com/en_US/
If the dog is wearing a silver Animal Friends tag, please call us at (513) 867-5727 ext. 0 for owner information. If the dog is wearing a Rabies or Microchip tag, then call the clinic/company information that is listed on the tag.

Check Lost Reports/Make a Found Report:
Call Animal Friends (513-867-5727 ext. 0) to check our Lost Reports. If the dog has not been reported missing, you can then make a Found Report with us over the phone. It is also best to email ([email protected]) a photo of the animal to be included with the Found Report.

Have the dog scanned to check for a microchip:
You can bring the dog to our facility during operating hours to be scanned to see if it is microchipped. You can also visit a local vet clinic to have them scan the animal.

Post a Found Report on social media:
Get the word out to the community that you have found a missing dog.

While out and about, shopping with glee, don’t forget about our sweet pets in need!

Even the smallest donation can make a big impact. All donations can be placed under the tree during any business hour and monetary donations are accepted at the front desk!

Happy Holidays from OVH πŸŽ„

Tis’ the season to help pets' in need!

While out shopping for your loved ones, consider picking a gift out for the less fortunate pets that do not have a warm couch to sleep on this Christmas. Community donations and supplies will be split evenly and donated to three different shelters to do our part in helping give back to the animals that bring us all so much joy.

Donations can be brought into the Oxford Veterinary Hospital Lobby during any business hour.
Do not hesitate to call if you have questions or need help bringing donations inside.

Happy Holidays!

NOW is the time to take precautionary measures for your pets. Make sure your fences are secure, your meds are refilled, your microchip information is up to date, as well as your pet's ID tags. No other holiday is as busy for shelters as July 5th. PLEASE keep them safe this weekend!

πŸ±πŸˆβ€β¬›πŸˆ Most pets do not like the fireworks. Be aware! πŸŽŠπŸŽ‰πŸͺ…
Tips: 🫡
Close windows and curtains to muffle the sound of fireworks and blackout your cats or dogs safe haven so they can't see any flashes outside. Put on some music or TV to mask the firework sounds. Ignore the firework noises yourself.
