The Lishman family has said goodbye to our beloved companion after 14 years.

Dave was a 14 year old golden lab who loved his family more than anything. Dave was a loyal, smart, handsome, loving boy who gave everyone in the room love and kisses. Dave knew all of his favorite words, snacks, and his family members names. Dave loved his mom, Elizabeth, so much and almost every Friday she would always bring home a special snack for him and his fur sister, Stella. Dave loved to go on rides, play with any ball, be outside and go camping or swimming. Some of our favorite memories were made during past camping trips. Dave loved to be in the water having fun with his siblings and would always rush them back to land at any little splash. He was the best protector that you could have asked for while they all grew up together. Dave was never just a pet, but a much loved family member and friend to many, everybody loved him. Dave will be so greatly missed by us all and his big little fur sister Stella.

Booker D Richardson
July 31, 2008 - March 5, 2025

Booker D was born in East Tennessee to the granddaughter of Bluegrass legend, Lester Flatt. He then made his home in Oxford, Mississippi for the next 16 1/2 years. Booker trotted through life at his own pace, and would stop in his tracks if someone in his group got separated. His name came from a short search through a stack of CDs, landing on the Memphis organist and leader of the MG’s. The D came from his dad’s middle name David, and both of his grandfathers were also David. Bookie provided a healing hand to his mom when needed, more than any vest or certification could prove. He loved riding with his dad and lil bro anywhere but the groomer, until finding the Spaw later in life. Car rides or plane rides, Booker D always wanted to look out the window! He had so many good characteristics, too many to mention, and I can’t think of any bad ones. Our vet wasn’t surprised by his longevity as much as his travels. Booker had a great run, visiting at least 9 states, Colorado twice in the winter and once in the summer, and beaches on all three coasts of Florida with the sand he loved so much! Many dog friends and people friends alike are blessed to have known such a special soul.

Booker is deeply missed by his parents, Andrew and Heather Richardson, his brother Baxter Jean, his Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Friends, Neighbors and their pups!

Maggie Brown, who ran free and loved much, passed away Monday, March 10, 2025. Maggie loved her human “Siblings” – Molly, Sarah and Harris- and helped run the family business, Brown Dairy Farms. Billy Ray and Paula Brown received her as a “Free Puppy”- never dreaming how much a member of the family she would become. Paula will tell you, “Maggie helped raise all three kids”.

Maggie never met a stranger and played around home with her four legged siblings LuLu, Wilson and Macy.

Maggi- already missed- will never be forgotten.

In Loving Memory of Shorty (Rippy V)

Our little Shorty, lovingly called Rippy V by his Daddy, came into our lives when we needed him most. A Chihuahua/Cocker Spaniel mix, he was a gift from our daughters after we lost our 17-year-old dog, Manny. Shorty helped us heal in ways we never expected.

He was a shelter dog, and we had no idea he was already 13 years old and in poor health. His constant sleepiness turned out to be due to a low thyroid, but once he started his medication, he shed the extra weight, became playful again, and his fluffy coat made him look just like a little puppy. He was so cute!

We were blessed to have him for 7 ½ years, meaning he was likely between 17 and 20 years old. It took more than three years to help him move past whatever trauma he had endured, but we made it. He finally knew he was safe and loved.

We will never forget our little man and all the love and joy he brought us. He’s with his brothers and sisters now. Sweet dreams, Shorty. We love you!

Bella Ramsey was born July 4th, 2011 and passed away on Jan. 8, 2025. She was a micro Imperial Shi Tzu and weighed on average of 6 lbs. She was a very spoiled and faithful Mama's baby from day one until her final day. She loved stuffed animals and snuggling with Mama to munch Ritz crackers, something she started with me during my chemo treatments, which she stayed by my side for through it all. She will forever live in our hearts and will leave a huge hole in my heart. She truly took a part of me with her when she left this world. I am comforted to know that she will now once again run and play and cuddle in the arms of Jesus until the day we are reunited in Heaven. We love you baby girl and we will miss you muchly.

Ms. Bonnie, Thank you for your kind words. A very touching sentiment, and we appreciate your trust in us.

Bonnie Ramsey

Our little Bella Boo is back home with her family. Thanks to Coleman Funeral Home and Pet Services for such wonderful, caring service in our time of need. If you have a need for cremation, I highly recommend their services. We have used them four times so far and will definitely be using them again in the future (hopefully not too soon though). I am checking there for our human cremation services as well. Such wonderful people who handle your pet with as much care and dignity as your family members. Now to wait for our kit to come in from Artful Ashes to send some of her ashes for her memorial. Thanks to all of you for your prayers of comfort during this time. It means more than you know. We will miss her always but find comfort knowing that she is healthy and happy in the arms of Jesus.

Nala Miller passed away on December 18th, 2024 coming just short of her 10th birthday in March. Although her actual birthday was unknown, she shared a given birthday with her fur sister, Bailey.

Nala was known for her protective spirit, particularly of her mom and true companionship, particularly of her dad. Nala was loyal, a defender of her home & people, and a gentle hug after a long day. Nala’s trust was hard to gain, but once you did, she showed an unmatched love and loyalty.

Nala was proceeded in death by her fur sister, Bailey and fur cousin, Hurley. Nala’s memory will forever be cherished by her mom and dad. As well as her (grand)parents and extended caretakers.

We know Nala and Bailey are having the best time across the rainbow bridge. While we grieve on this side, we look forward to a brighter day of reunion, for we must never forget “all dogs go to Heaven”.
