Please don't let your dog become the statistic. The one who ran THRU a fence. The one who jumped THRU the back window. The one who GOT HIT on the busy road.

CONTAIN them
COLLAR them
TAG them
UPDATE their microchip
GET medication
LEASH them

Know what to do IF your
pet goes missing.

-Leave a door open for them to get back in

-Hang dirty laundry outside

- Post on Nextdoor, Ring, Missing Pet Pages on FB and Pawboost.com

-Start hanging flyers and then posters if they are not back in 24 hours. Utilize others eyes!!!

- Do not walk/drive around screaming their name. (They are already terrified and you yelling makes them think they are in trouble)

Once the chaos stops they hopefully will make it home.

It's foxtail season! This common grass can cause a slew of issues for humans and animals, though dogs seem to be their primary victims. Foxtails have barb-like heads that will burrow into your pet. They can be swallowed, inhaled, and even pe*****te the skin. Not only is this uncomfortable, but it can cause life-threatening abscesses and infections.

If you’ve been out and about, it’s always a good idea to check your pet for any injuries – and, as always, call your veterinarian with any questions or concerns.
