Couldn’t let this day go by without giving a special shoutout to the DDT Dogfather himself. The dude behind the camera and the guy affectionately known as “man in hat” for my training dogs that are nervous around men. He’s helped me tremendously through the evolution of my business and with so many of your own dogs behind the scenes. He also happens to be the best father to our very own human children so that’s pretty cool of him too.

Pets aren’t allowed in grocery stores — only trained service dogs are protected by law when accompanying their handlers or their trainers. Pets and emotional support animals don’t have the same legal rights. Know the difference before you bring your pup shopping!

Service dog Walter reporting for duty!

This big guy has shaped up to be a truly fabulous service dog for his handler, but unfortunately he’s been attacked a few times by off leash dogs. This has shaken his confidence in situations where unknown dogs approach him.

This is your friendly reminder to NEVER let your dog off leash in public spaces unless their recall is rock solid. It is never appropriate to allow your dog to meet someone else’s without the owner’s explicit consent. It’s not safe and it can potentially compromise someone’s medical equipment. Trained service dogs are medical equipment and absolutely necessary for the safety and wellness of their handlers.
