Thank you to the Christian County A&M society for helping us get the arena fencing painted. It looks amazing and as always thank you for your support.

Thank you to Heath Wright for hauling down to do our first drag a couple weeks ago. Thank you to Nelson Prewitt for hauling his tractor down and working the arena this weekend. If you see these guys tell them Thank You!!! It's still a work in progress but getting better each time. The flood did a number on us unfortunately and we are going to have to add sand. We will be using a bigger disc or ripper hopefully to break it up more in the next few weeks. We would love to have a list of people to sign up to drag that way it doesn't fall all on any one person. Also note there will probably be a painter at the arena in the near future power washing and painting the fence.

Patty Shilling here. I am looking for volunteers to help get the arena ready for Rebecca Jennings Spurlock event on August 6. I need volunteers to paint the panels. It's not a bad job as I've had the honor of helping a time or two. We can do it during the week for a few hours in the evening and we can also work on Saturday July 23 or another Saturday. Please comment if you are available to help paint panels anytime between now and August 6. Patty.

The arena has been cleared of flood debris, w**ds have been sprayed, and it looks good except where water still stands. Panels have been put back, so the arena is once again enclosed. Luke is going to box blade & smooth one more time and then we can rebuild the alley pens. Banners have been re-hung, and we have plenty of room for more!

Arena is still under construction but we are stopping for the day. It is a little rough but we are working to get it level enough to haul in more sand to mix in for better drainage. Note that there are some open spots to the arena fencing. All the barrels and poles and banners were removed for maintenance and stored. Be patient with us, it will be worth it for sure! Thank you to all the volunteers that helped Saturday and today. Especially, Luke Shelton for his bulldozer work, Shawn Spurlock and Heath Wright for tractor work and Jamie and Emerson Luke for help to move panels.

More Volunyeers needed!!!

Prior to working on the grade we need to move some arena panels at the holding pens & chutes. We will be meeting 4/9 at 4 pm.

We have a volunteer, Luke Shelton of Shelton Excavating and Construction, who is donating his time by helping us work on the grade of the arena. He will be working 4/10 at 1:30. He has asked if we could get another tractor (or 2) with box blades to help. Many hands (tractors) make short work.

Let us know if you can help!!

We must work on the grade before we can haul in sand. Otherwise our arena will continue to look like the pictures below after it rains. Luke Shelton, we appreciate you!
