The rain has parted and a good day to get out. Careful about first impressions... what are the cues? Whale eyes ✔️ baring teeth ✔️ ok...but the dog is in a sit...dog looking down. A closer examination of the dangerous german shepherd image will reveal a treat incoming to be caught. 😉

Closed Thanksgiving Weekend.

Scenario: dog placed in a sit, release command given...dog doesn't release ,but we've set up on a recall and the dog demonstrates a very good sit stay at a NEW longer distance. Do we recall from the sit? No..we do not. We go back to the release and get the understanding we need. Training and learning takes patience and diligence this family is doing great!

Probably not a good idea to yell out a recall to your off leash dog if at the beach if you named your dog, Shark. Other than that enjoy the weather today, we finally got a breath of cooler temps today.
