Scenario: dog placed in a sit, release command given...dog doesn't release ,but we've set up on a recall and the dog demonstrates a very good sit stay at a NEW longer distance. Do we recall from the sit? No..we do not. We go back to the release and get the understanding we need. Training and learning takes patience and diligence this family is doing great!
Taking an opportunity to work through distractions. I'd say she kept focus pretty good 😉. Appointments only, 479 209 2985
Basket style muzzle introduction to a young dog. Calm environment, making the situation as good as possible with no initial expectations other than the dog wanting to be around the tool and more familiar with the tool. We can build training on this tool from the trust established in introducing the tool in a good way. A muzzle is another level of safety for your dog in potentially unavoidable stressful situations. When the muzzle is introduced at a young age properly, its just a tool no different than any other.
Recall, one of the most important commands a dog can learn. Movement motivator with completion reward via verbal praise & treats at completion, plus verbal engagement continuation as we moved from the location to next sequences in training. Keeping it fun and she's getting her "steps" in 😉. 🐾 🐾 🏁

Have multiple dogs? In the following clip you can see cooperative relaxed play and obedience at work together. I will always recommend having well behaved dogs before adding another to the mix. Hope you have been enjoying the weather and nurturing your relationships and pack structure.
