We can no longer take in any animals. The cost of feed, fuel, vet services, and building materials is heavy when it all comes out of our personal pockets. Once we have adequate shelters and a supply of feed stored back up we will continue our operations. Thanks for understanding.

Please welcome our newest members of the Safe Haven. The donkeys are Scooby (short haired) and Shaggy (long haired) and their little friend is Peppy the goat. Their owner has passed and so we have taken them in to get lots of love. Scooby liked the camera, Shaggy not so much 😂. They nearly mirror our females, Frannie and Gypsy in looks ❤️❤️❤️

The Legend of the Donkey’s Cross

“Bring me the c**t of a donkey,” was the Master’s request.
A young donkey was brought to Jesus to carry him to Jerusalem.
A week later Jesus was ordered crucified.
The little donkey so loved the Lord,
that he wanted to help carry the cross.
But alas, he was pushed away.
The sad little donkey waited to say good-bye until nearly all had left.
As he turned to leave, the shadow of the cross fell upon his shoulders.
And there it has remained,
a tribute to the loyalty and love
of the humblest of God’s Creatures.

Just scheduled an appointment to get our rescue pigs hooves and tusks trimmed next week! Hoping they will be much happier after the procedure. Waylon will be off to his new home soon, he’s been adopted ❤️

I’d like everyone to meet Madea aka Momma! She is a pot bellied pig approx 10 years old. Her owner was moving and had no where for her to go, so we swooped in and brought her back to the Safe Haven. Her and Waylon are still getting used to each other, but I’m sure they will be fast friends.
