"Should I pay for an xray for my limping pet?"
With any lameness, an xray is a good idea. Major problems like these (osteosacoma on first 2 and possible fungal on last one) do not always present with soft tissue swelling or pain on palpation. It may start as a very mild limp. Bone cancer is more likely in an older large breed dog, but I have diagnosed it in a ONE YEAR OLD LAB! Radiographs are an excellent diagnostic to rule in /out many things. When it's potentially really bad, the earlier we can detect and diagnose, there more options are available for the pet.

Hey all. Due to the increased volume of surgical procedures, I will not be seeing appointments Wednesday and Thursday mornings. We will be taking in drop off exams which will be seen between surgical cases. If you drop your pet off, please give the most complete history possible and keep your phone close for any follow up questions. Afternoon appointments will continue as normal.

I wanted to congratulate one of the bestest girls, Summer on her recent graduation from the AKC Good Canine Citizenship Program. She had to demonstrate basic and advanced commands as well as an ability to listen to her owner and not get distracted while on a leash. Great job!
