Breeding is not for the faint of heart.

There was sadness and grief over the weekend.
Lucy went into labor on Friday. There was multiple complications and neither of the puppies made it. Please do not ask for specifics because I am heartbroken and trying to process the grief. Lucy is doing good and recovering and that's all that matters. We are going to let Lucy recover and then she will be spayed.

She's currently spending time at a dear friend's house because also while she was giving birth my gallbladder and intestinal tract decided it hated me and I had to go to the ER. I am not doing good at all (may need surgery) and that's the main reason why this update has taken so long.

I cannot thank the humans enough that stepped up and helped in the time of need and that has been there for me and the critters ever since.
