Amanda, our lead surgery tech, takes you on a tour of our surgery suite. Amanda is also a US Army Reserve Veterinary tech and a Combat medic.
We have much of the same equipment as a human hospital.
In addition to manually monitoring vital signs, our monitor tracks blood pressure, heart rate and rhythm, respiration rate with oxygen and CO2 concentration, and core temp.
We keep our patients warm with fluid warmers, a heated table, bear hugger, and thermal blankets and socks.
To improve visibility, we have suction and 2 very bright mobile lights.
