Home 2 Home is a non-profit canine orphanage that aims to revolutionize the way dogs go about finding their perfect homes. Using our high standard and premium facility to provide dogs with a safe and loving environment, we allow for dogs to further themselves socially as well as get the exercise and care they need to succeed. The ultimate goal is to offer a natural environment for a better present

ation to potential families.

- We are not a traditional shelter. We consider ourselves more of an orphanage because we provide needs-based care.
- We temperament test all dogs to ensure a proper fit for our environment.
- We offer caring owners a worry-free option to re-home their pets when things don’t work out.
- We do not stick dogs in cages with limited exposure to humans or other dogs. Instead, dogs are kept in small packs that are under consistent supervision (24/7) by their human pack leader. This allows for proper daily exercise and helps build and maintain good socialization skills with both dogs and humans.
- We aim to present dogs’ natural personalities to better display them to prospective adopters.
- We re-home based on what each dog needs to succeed.
- We give dogs a safe vacation-like environment to play and make friends.
- We have 15 acres of land to meet all of their exercise needs.
- Dogs have access to top notch trainers, veterinary care, and amenities like constant fresh flowing water, always available beds, non-slick rubber floors, and wide open areas to run and play with their friends.

These two dogs have been in the organization for months and months and months. It makes no sense when people are out looking for good dogs. They are right here. Their current foster has had them for months too and they’ve been posted several times to no avail. With the holidays coming and their whole family arriving, they will be returned to the shelter without a home if we don’t beg for this post to be shared. They don’t need to be adopted together even though they’d appreciate it. We can’t hold out for someone to want them both if someone wants only one. They are desperate to find their families and live the life that they deserve. Please share this post. The need for them to be wanted is dire.

“Here’s a post for both Jabba and Jon Jon.

Twinning!!

What can we say about these 2 year old brothers? They are adorable. Are ready for an instant dog family? We would love to keep these guys together. They eat, sleep and play together. Its a genuine monkey see monkey do situation. Jabba lets Jon know other dogs are near and Jon lets Jabba know theres a squirrel close by. Low maintenance and eager to please. No need to wear them out. A few short walks will do. We easily walk them together. They’ve got all the basics down and are easy to teach. At right around 50 lbs each, they are a very manageable size. The are crate trained, house trained and good car riders.

The only thing they need is a family to love them. To adopt Jabba and Jon Jon (aka Jon Bone Jovi), fill out the application at www.home2homecanineorphanage.org

Please consider fostering or adopting one or both of these dogs.

Hello everyone!
My name is Twister.
I am a sesame 23 pound
Shiba Inu . I am just two years old and have retired from my breeder life. This makes me happy because I now have a best friend named Mo Mo she’s a Shiba too. I love having this fenced yard to run with my friends in! They are all great but I need to find my people.
I love my kennel when I am inside or a corner to just observe from. I will require someone to have patience while I get acclimated to my surroundings. I am learning to trust and every day making progress. Walks would be great but not necessary as I run and explore the yard all day if the weather permits.
Please take a chance on me.
I really haven’t been around cats or children much, my foster home is pretty chill, except for mimosa, biscuit , and gravy, all my canine friends!my fosters love me, but I know my peeps are out there somewhere?
Twister would do best in a house with a fenced yard and a small companion dog. She has been introduced to children and does well.

Hi! I'm Little Pickles! I’m 2 years old and didn’t have the best experience with people in the beginning. I was a breeder puppy so being a pet is all so new. My foster family is pretty cool…I was pretty scared at first but I really like to sit in the corner of the couch cuddled with the little human now. And the treats they have…well that’s something I can get used to.
Little Pickles (Pickle) as we call her is a 2 year old mini Aussie. She is about 30lbs. She is spayed and up to date on immunizations. Pickle was a breeder dog and had what appears to be limited contact with humans before she came to H2H. She has come a long way in the past 2 months that we have been fostering her. The first couple days she would turn to the far corner of her crate and cower when we would approach her, I had to carry her out to potty because she was too afraid to come out of her crate. Now she will sit on the couch next to us, will walk well on a leash along side of us, and will come to us if we have a treat she’s very interested in. She does still prefer to hang out in her crate in the living room, we just leave the door open and she comes and goes as she pleases. She’s more curious of us and is becoming more of a shadow when we’re moving around the house. She is very gentle and has never showed aggression even with the fear that comes with a new environment. She will likely need someone that is patient and gives her time to settle in a new environment.
❤️

✅ toddler approved
✅dog and cat approved- Little Pickles is timid and gets along well with our two female dogs and male dog. She’s also been fine around our outdoor cat, I think she would coexist well with a friend
✅walks well on a leash, she is a flight risk and would need to be taken out on a leash several times a day or need a fenced in yard
✅crate trained, will bark in the morning to remind you that she heard your alarm and it’s breakfast time (we get up early so that will be an adjustment if that’s not your schedule)
✅ potty trained (mostly) doesn’t potty in her crate, she’s still learning to cue when she needs to go out so has a few accidents

Hilary is a bit timid at first approach. However, she’s incredibly loving and playful! She loves wrestling with her sister and carrying her toys around. Hilary is crate trained and doing well with potty training. We are working on commands & she seems very smart! Hilary is a bit fearful of the cat and tends to avoid him rather than interact. She is very gentle with my daughter (4yrs), too. Hilary needs a family who will work with her on training and allow her lots of play time!

Chelsea (left) and Hilary (right)

These girls will melt your heart and run circles around you all day!!

Chelsea is a curious, energetic girl! She loves wrestling with her sister and being wherever you are. She’s also very sweet and demands attention! She is crate trained and doing well with potty training. We are working on commands & she seems very smart! Chelsea is very curious about the cat and has tried to chase him, but no perceived aggression. She is gentle with my daughter (4yrs), but does try to “boop” her occasionally which scares her a bit. Chelsea needs an active family who will work with her on training and allow her to run! Because she jumps up so often, I would be cautious with her around smaller children.

Bringing up the rear in the back of the pack, meet Vinnie!

“Vinnie is an adorable 1.5yr old yellow who weighs about 60lbs. Based on how he arrived and the weeks after, he had not been shown kindness or attention in a long time. The great news is he now has a different and new chapter to explore. He is so sweet and it's been amazing to watch him open up without his tail tucked. He does great in his crate, easily relaxes around the house. Potty training has been great. He’s totally dog friendly, cat friendly and kind to everyone he has met. He is still timid but warms up to his people (may take longer with men) not aggressive just unsure. I would suggest a home with another dog who could show him the ways of living a normal life. He does need a fenced yard as he can get startled and could bolt. I have not taken him on walks yet as he been building his confidence with this new world he’s in but I'm sure she will do great especially walking with another dog. He just needs the time to let someone help him open up!”

This is Tequila, aka Margarita. She’s a 2 year old little dachshund that has definitely learned to be a dog in the last three months that we’ve had her. She loves snuggling on the couch with you. She is potty trained and does well in a kennel for long periods of time. She really loves playing with toys, especially her bone and tennis ball, loves treats and going for walks. Margarita Tequila plays beautifully with my dachshund that is also young. She would do very well in a home with another dog. My grandchildren have been around her with no problems. I have also had small gatherings at my house and she did fine with all the guests. Margarita Tequila is still a little hand shy, but I expect that to improve with time. She is ready for her next permanent home.

Looking for a 1 year old, 45 pound bundle of joy to welcome into your home this holiday season? ❤️🎄 Well, look no further! This is Julie! 🥰

Jules is thrilled to be out of the shelter and is feeling totally comfortable in my home. She is potty AND crate trained, knows how to walk on a leash, and knows the commands “sit” and “stay” — she is extremely smart. She loves long walks and I think she would thrive in a home with lots of space for her to explore. She is the perfect mix of an energetic pup and a cuddle bug. Julie has SO much love to give and is eager to find her forever home! ❤️

From Buddys foster mommy ❤️

If you are looking for a dog that lights up the room, Buddy is your guy!
Gentle, loving, playful and very eager to please, Buddy is people and dog friendly.
At 10 months and 50 lbs, he has come a long way since being found in a backyard as a scared, skinny , starving, overheated unaltered stray puppy. He is now healthy, happy and neutered.
I have taught him the basics: sit, stay, lay down, wait, go crate, go bed.
Buddy also has good recall. He will sit and wait for me to wipe his paws when we come back in from the rain.
He is completely house and crate trained.
Buddy LOVES running after his squeaky toys outside and entertains himself with them inside.

Buddy's leash walking has improved greatly. Every day he becomes more confident in his surroundings. Some additional time and training would be helpful for Buddy's walking skills.

Buddy's fervent wish would be to find a home with another friendly dog to romp with in a nice fenced backyard.

I have a feeling that would be the perfect picture with YOU!

Hi! I'm Stewie 🥰 For seven years I was a companion dog for my disabled owner until they could no longer care for me. Even though my whole world has been turned upside down I have felt confident and happy in my foster home since day one! I get to hang out with two little girls that are low to the ground like me, so I get to sneak a lot of kisses and snuggles. My foster mom gave me something called a "spa day" where I got a bath and my nails trimmed, I like her a lot even though she called me stinky 😝 BUT let me tell you, my foster DAD takes the CAKE! I think I like him so much because I lived with a man before and that makes me feel extra comfortable. This foster home is really busy with kids and visitors and I love all of it!

Stewie is a 7 year old long haired miniature dachshund that weighs 12 pounds. He is low energy and completely content following his people around and curling up on the first available lap for a nap. Even though Stewie was surrendered and needed some vet care, it is apparent he was very loved in his previous home
❤️

✅ big and little kid approved
✅dog approved- Stewie is submissive so my two small dogs and played well with a family members large dog.
✅comes when called-would be okay with or without a fence
✅sleeps all night snuggled under the covers
✅ stays contained with two other dogs during a work day with no accidents or distress

ADOPTED ❤️

Hi, I’m Rosie! I am a 4 year old yellow lab, but very much still a puppy at heart! I am a snuggly girl who loves to lay on you and be where you are. I love every person that I meet, kids included! I do great with other dogs but need to go to a home without cats. My favorite game is fetch, and I’d play for hours if you let me! I am crate trained and potty trained, but need a family who will work with me on commands ❤️
