Meet Lux: Your Loyal Shadow with a Wagging Tail
Looking for a loyal companion, whose equal parts calm cuddlebug and cheerful walking buddy? Meet Lux, a four year-old English black lab with a heart as big as her paws!

Lux is the definition of sweet and steady. She’s happiest when she’s by your side-whether you’re watching a movie, working from home, or taking a stroll through the neighborhood. She walks beautifully on a leash and is currently enjoying daily (albeit slow) walks as she works on, shedding a few extra pounds.

While she gets along just fine with other dogs, Lux is definitely a people dog. She lights up around her humans and wants nothing more than to be close to them-think of her as your loyal shadow with a tail that never stops wagging. She’s good with children too, though she’s a big girl and sometimes forgets her size in her enthusiasm to be close.

Playful in short bursts and wonderfully mellow the rest of the time, Lux would thrive in a home that appreciates her laid-back nature and gives plenty of love (and belly rubs)!

If you’re looking for a devoted best friend with soulful eyes, a gentle heart, and a little extra love to give (literally and figuratively), Lux is your girl.

Looking for your own certified lover boy? 😉

Loverboy is a 6 month old, 11.4 pound Cairn Terrier who is a total sweetheart (seriously, he was giving kisses in the first 30 seconds AND loved pets from the mailman)! He’s adapting very well to home life and is already tackling stairs and jumping on the couch despite his little legs 😅 He’s a curious little guy who loves to look out the window, get belly rubs, and play with his foster sister.

Loverboy does have a few quirks, but what dog doesn’t? He eats very quickly and will likely require set meal times rather than free feeding. He’s got a super cute stout little bark. He’ll also require some patience with learning commands and his name - he may not have ever had one before!

✅ No kids in the house, but he loves getting pets from the neighborhood kids.
✅ Loves other dogs, wants to play and learn from them. Foster sister is also small and more dominant, but he’s been trying to take cues. Also likes the big dog next door.
✅ Sleeps like a little log in his crate and has had no accidents in it. Foster mom was even able to work from home while he snoozed in the crate.
✅ Walks well on a leash, which would be needed if there’s no tightly fenced yard.
✅ Potty training has been a breeze.

Nirvana is a 5 year old Havanese who is learning about life. She is crate-trained and currently working hard on her leash and potty training.
She is still pretty nervous and shy but slowly opening up more every day. So far she is happy to sit and keep you company on your lap or be outside enjoying the new smells and fresh grass under her feet.
Everyone has been calm and gentle with her - so a home with some extra patience is a must.

If you’re looking for a new best friend, Vixen is your girl. She’s a super spunky, happy Bichon who was rescued from a life of breeding. We don’t know much about her previous life, although her coat has been shaved very short due to neglect and matting, and she has had two baths to wash the stains of her previous life off. She was a trooper for bath time, lifting each paw gracefully to help us along. She is playful and energetic, loves a squeaky toy but is not quite sure what to do with it yet, comes to being called and is very responsive to command, suggesting she’ll be super easy to train. She’s already offering a paw when asked. Though she loves to run around silly, she’s just as eager to lay down and cuddle, leaning her head into your face and neck and closing her eyes for a sweet embrace when picked up. She adores kids, and all people she’s met. She fit in just fine with my two small dogs and greeted the cats with a sniff and moved on. She’s eating well, and has mastered #1 outside but we’re still working on #2. As smart as she seems to be, potty training should be quick and easy. Her only flaw so far is she can squeeze through a slatted fence and will require a full privacy fence. Vixen would do well with any pets or I think would be just fine as a doted on only child. I do think she’d experience separation anxiety if left alone for very long. She’s happy to cuddle up and sleep in bed with you but also sleeps quietly in a kennel, in fact, we’ve yet to hear her bark at all. We will be sad to see this joyful little snuggle bug go, but she will be a wonderful new best friend and companion for someone very lucky!

Vixen is 9.2 lbs and 3 years old.

A mini Aussie female lost her owner because he had to move into a nursing home. She is looking for a foster home tomorrow. She’s friendly and so sweet!

We also have a Brittany spaniel pup who is in need of a foster too! Male and absolutely adorable ❤️

This stunning 9-month-old Husky girl is as sweet as she is spirited! Lilac lives for people time— she greets everyone with a calm, friendly confidence. She’s friendly with other dogs, comfortable in a crate near you overnight, and full of classic Husky charm and sass.

Lilac has some separation anxiety and shows off her Husky expressiveness when left alone. She’s looking for a home with someone who’s around more often than not, or who’s ready to help her with time and patience.

Hi my name is Finn, I am a Catahoula Great Dane mix and about 1 1/2 years old. I weigh 77 pounds. I am a tall guy but I do not jump up on people. My foster mom says that is super awesome of me. I am potty trained yeah me! I also know a lot of commands, sit, down and I will let you shake my paw. I eat my meals in my crate and I know “wait” until my foster mom tells me “eat”. When you call my name I will come to you ❤️. My foster mom is teaching me “gentle” when I get my treats and she says I am doing awesome at it. There are two little 4 leggeds in my foster house with me and I am learning to play with them. I walk great on a slip lead and I stop when my foster mom tells me to. Then I stand by her side or sideways in front of her. Playing catch is my favorite game and it wears me out then I can take a good nap. And when it is time for bed and my foster mom says “settle” I go right to my bed. Then it is super Power Nap time and I sleep ALL night!! No potty breaks needed for me after bedtime. Super yeah me!

✅Has not been around small kids, would do better with older kids.
✅Would do great in a home with another medium size dog

Meet Rush, a 5-year-old Yorkshire Terrier, weighing 8.6 pounds, with a big personality and a heart full of curiosity. This little guy is crate-trained and currently working hard on his leash and potty training. Rush is full of energy and absolutely loves playing with his fellow foster pups. When he’s not romping around or chewing on his favorite toys, you’ll find him perched at the window, keeping watch over the world outside. Rush is a spirited, lovable companion who’s learning the ropes and looking for a family to cheer him on every step of the way.

Rainbows equal happiness and new beginnings.

22 new dogs came last night to start their new beginnings. In the comments are also Blue and Lola who entered the organization yesterday evening separately from the collaged group. We are so excited to welcome them, give them a fresh start and close the breeding door life! Many adults, several puppies, and so much cuteness!

We want to especially thank all our volunteers who work so hard to get these new friends all the things needed to start their journey at their intake, the fosters who step up to take them in whether it’s for a few weeks or a couple days, we simply couldn’t do this without you all.

22 new faces and wagging tails are on to a better life. Last nights sleep was by far probably some of the best yet❤️
