As a child I started working with large breed dogs from an early age--Great Danes, Rottweilers, Labradors, Goldens, and Shepherds to name a few--this passion of mine grew into working with rescues and shelters for over 10 years. In turn, a love for bully breeds grew and my first American Bulldog found me. Modoc was his name. He was my red and white bulldog rescue/foster failure and a game changer
for me. He touched so many lives around him, changed bulldog stereotyping--opening minds and hearts a like. Folks that didn't like dogs fell in love with him, his heart and temperament. You better believe, he was proof of getting back what you put in to a dog...but it was more than this too. The American Bulldog Breed was forever engraved in my heart--this was 17 years ago and I've never looked back. I've studied bloodlines, genetics, the look of what I like in an American Bulldog, function, purpose, and structure--I'm not an expert but know what I like in an American Bulldog. At the end of the day today's American Bulldog package can be very versatile and I believe, should be what FITS your lifestyle and needs. The American Bulldog itself was created as a working and guardian breed--it is a serious breed in it's size and power alone, and can be dominant and very stubborn. Please do your research and know the history of this breed--speak to as many breeders as possible before deciding on a puppy or dog of any age. So what is a Molly Johnson American Bulldog? They are FAMILY first and foremost. If you are interested in an Molly Johnson American Bulldog, but are looking for just a pet, or an outdoor animal and aren't willing to provide a lifelong commitment--this is not a good fit for you. We breed for sound of mind and body bulldogs, with hearts of gold and steady temperaments. We are not a kennel and have small numbers of puppies available on occasion, to special homes, that can provide the care, love, training and space this large breed needs. Whether your puppy is lounging at home by your side, out in the garden (as ours are often) in the show ring, working or on a hiking outdoor adventure with you--we like to set our puppies up for success, by carefully placing them into their forever homes, when we do have puppies available. Often there is a waiting list. Please call or message me if you think you might be interested.
