Nash ignores the stick!
Nash goes home today. So happy with his progress! He will only improve as he gets in more practice with his Dad!
Heeling 101
Nash is progressing nicely! He has gotten so much better about not dragging us around, now to clean it up and move to off leash!
Wait. Come. Flop.
Sit means sit... unless your Nash and then sit means flop.
Teddy transitions to off leash heel... because the leash shouldn't matter... you matter!
😄 Teddy would sit every time I tried to transition him to off leash walking by dropping the leash... turns out he just didn't want to drag his leash :)
Just a good puppy sitting instead of chasing goaties or chicks:)
Teddy was kind enough to provide me with an excellent example of how while we may teach "basic" commands... there is nothing basic about our level of expectations. "Sit means sit!" No matter the distraction!
He continued sitting for several minutes after this :)
Walking around downtown Monroe
Such mod citizens these two are! 😍
"Hey, Hey I'm a Rockstar" Go Palmer!
From being terrified to walking out the door when the garbage cans are at the road.... to this.... I feel like celebrating!
( I just so happened to be taking Loki and Jarvis home right as this truck drove by, perfect opportunity for real life training!)
Duke and Maggie heel
They are really coming together!
Loose leash walking step 1
Maggie working in the pasture today. Low distractions are where she is at right now.. but very soon we will take it to the next level.
Winston off leash like a pro
Winston keeping learning fun ;)
Benelli' rocking the distance sit and recall.
We have progressed from short leash to dragging a longe line.... tomorrow.... off leash freedom!
Robin in quarantine 🥰
Robin... one second she is there... the next she is zooming away somewhere.
Nana goes for a stroll ;)
Nana went out exploring Lowes with us. She has made a lot of progress towards not reacting to new (aka "scary") people. Just getting out and walking around helps her realize that all these people are not out to hurt her and helps her to relax just a bit :)
Greetings done right
Hope got some surprise pettings while waiting patiently on Nana's heeling lesson. Such polite girls! (Both two legged and 4!) I do not know who this girls parents are but I was very impressed with how polite she was in approaching a strange dog. Too many kids just run over and start petting dogs without asking and coming from someone who works with fear aggressive dogs regularly this can be so dangerous. Congratulations to Hope and this sweet girl for their impressive manners!
It has been a week since Skylar had her first lesson on paying attention to her name.. followed by coming when called... she has improved A LOT... sit is still a foreign concept but hey, baby steps :)
