It is never easy to share the news of one of our wonderful animals leaving us. On Sunday September 8th, 2024 our coyote Wylie passed away peacefully. Wylie joined us in 2014 with his sister Melody when they were around 4 months old. Wylie was a coyote true to his name, he was elusive and stand offish to most. He was hard to get a good picture of as he was always on the move Wylie was such a wonderful boy who loved to join in the morning howl with his sister and greet the keepers with a wonderful song.

Daisy's habitat got a renovation the last couple of days! All of the old chewed on limbs were taken out and new greenery was brought in! She is a little confused about the rearranged habitat, but is thoroughly enjoying all of the hanging snacks!

Pagosa Wildlife Park

The Rocky Mountain Wildlife Park is tucked away in the San Juan Mountain Range, fifteen minutes from Pagosa Springs, Colorado. At our facility we offer a quiet and fun zoo like experience. Come see these amazing animals and learn about them through informational signs along the trail or join us on our daily feeding tour. On the tour you follow along and learn from one of our animal caretakers about each animal we have at our facility. The tour is approximately one hour long. During the heat of the day some of the animals may be resting in the shade or back in their houses, however we will always be happy to answer any questions you may have about the animals. We want to share our love, respect and knowledge of the native wildlife.
