Trailer Loading Young Horses
Teaching Tullamore (our 2 year old filly) to load in the trailer! There are plenty of methods to teach a horse to load. For young horses, this is my favorite approach.
Sunny winter days mean winter baths!!!! And boy did they need them 😳

Horse Breeds: Draft Horses
A shorter video but draft horses are characteristically large, gentle and very strong. The largest draft horse ever on record was reportedly a Shire horse named Mammoth, who stood 21.2 hands (84.5 inches!) and over 3,000 lbs!
While we don’t have any draft horses at our ranch, we do recognize the awesome power and versatility of these horses!
Let’s learn a little bit about America’s feral horses: MUSTANGS
Mustangs are descended from Spanish horses that escaped in the 16th century. For this reason, mustangs are considered feral, since they come from domesticated horses.
The word mustang is derived from the Spanish “mestengo” and “mostrenco” while mean wild or masterless cattle.
Mustangs are known for being fiercly independent, loyal, and stubborn. Take a look at Thor to learn a little more!
