SUMMER HOURS RETURN!! Increasing temperatures mean that our summer hours, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m, return this weekend, May 27 - 28th. Dogs will be shown from 8 to 11, so please come early if you're interested in adopting. As always, we are grateful for your support!

We have three new sweethearts at the Ranch this week. This is Re*****on, a 9 week old male white Shepard. He's a fluffy ball of fun. Because of his age, he has not been neutered, so his adopter will need to work with the Ranch to have him neutered when the time comes.

Here's Vicki, a 2 year old German Shepard/kelpi mix. She's spayed. She is named Vicki because she was abandoned in Victorville, and her rescuer entrusted her to the Ranch to find a good home. She does well with other dogs if introduced slowly. She's a beautiful animal who deserves all the benefits of a loving home.

A long overdue update on our available rescues! Meet Rocky, a 2 year old German Shepard, about 70 #. Neutered, chipped. Rock is a playful guy, loves playing ball. He was brought up from California by Kelly, a devoted rescuer who saw that he was slated for euthanasia, although he was a young and healthy dog. Let's find him a forever home! Our adoption fee is still just $150.

Simba is a 5 year old neutered, chiipped Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. He's about 70 #, a fun, high energy dog. Gets along with other dogs if properly and slowly introduced. Simba came from the Animal Foundation, abandoned on the streets of North Las Vegas

We'd like to share some wonderful news! Thanks to everyone who supported us during our efforts to bring the Ranch back to its former stability and good health! Things are turning around -- we've appointed a new board of directors which will provide oversight of the non-profit's charitable donations, making sure the money is used to benefit our rescues! Veterinary visits are being restored. Our Ranch managers, Heidi and Alex, are back on the job, our dedicated volunteers are returning, and the dogs have been released from their pens and are enjoying some much needed play time and TLC! Come by and see us soon -- we'd be happy to discuss with you the progress we've made, dispel any rumors you may have heard, and celebrate West Star's return as a positive, healthy and vibrant no-kill animal rescue!

Our thrift store will be closed the weekend of December 24 and 25th, and December 31 and January 1, to allow our ranchers and volunteers to enjoy their holidays. The ranch is open this weekend for your last-minute Christmas shopping. Thank you to everyone for another wonderful year. We appreciate your support!

West Star Ranch has resumed it’s winter hours. Starting this coming weekend, Saturday, November 12, we will be open from 9 AM to 2 PM. We hope to see you! Rumor has it that the road will be finished soon and it’ll be easier to get to us!

We have two great new rescues who are looking for a home for the holidays. Larry is a 2-3 year old lab/retriever mix. He's neutered/has his shots, is always up for a walk and very loving. Archie wandered on to the Ranch about a month ago. Although he looks like he's got a bit of an attitude, he's a typical kitten (we're guessing 7-8 months old). We've had him neutered and he has his shots and is ready to spend Thanksgiving with you! Come down and see these loveable pets this Saturday or Sunday, from 9 to 2.

The Ranch is changing its hours of operation! We're now open Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Come in this weekend for great deals on Halloween costumes and decorations! We also have some wonderful dogs available for adoption, including a sweet Minpin puppy named Monk!
