Just thought I would give an update. On Monday they took my fabulous bionic shoulder out and downgraded me to cement for at least 6 weeks. If all goes well, I will get a new and approved shoulder replacement. I am sooo hoping that when summer comes I can do some dog grooming, but first I have to beat this infection. I hope this post finds all of you healthy along with the dogs who gave me the opportunity to meet you.

What happened to Laura? I fear there are people that have no idea what has happened to me so here is the long and short of it. One day at work last October I fell on my arm at work and shattered it. After an ambulance ride to tri point I was scheduled for a shoulder replacement. I had the replacement and it became infected. The explanation for this is that the chemo severely compromised my immune system. They performed 4 more surgeries to clean out the infection and I was referred to another doctor more familiar with this.
My children went over and cleared out my shop during my third surgery because I couldn’t pay the rent without an income.
I have been on iv antibiotics until last Friday, when we found I had an infected port and I was taken, by ambulance to Geauga hospital, and here I sit.
I will be having my artificial shoulder removed in the near future and they will put cement spacers in. If they can clear the infection, I will have another shoulder six weeks from then. I miss everyone terribly and I really miss your dogs but sometimes things don’t work in your favor and lately, things have not worked out as I would desire.
I am hoping, at some point, I will be able to groom again but until then, I hope you have found someone to treat your pups well because each one of them is special to me

Celebrating my remission was short lived. Last week I fell and shattered my arm by my shoulder and will be getting a new shoulder this Friday
