We’re so grateful to have Pet Wants Arlington Heights as our exclusive provider of food for all of our Adoption Center puppies. Because of their generous support, every pup in our care enjoys nutritious, high-quality meals that help them grow healthy and strong while waiting for their forever homes.

When dogs come into rescue, especially after transport, they are often stressed, overwhelmed, and exhausted.

Decompression is essential. A calm, quiet foster home helps them feel safe and start to relax. It is not just about sleep (though snoring helps - sound on!). It is about giving them time to build trust at their own pace.

Fostering helps us learn more about each dog so we can find the best forever home. You get all the love and fun without a long-term commitment, and you make a real difference in a dog’s life.

Meet Lil Ms Debbie!

If you’ve been craving something sweet, look no further, Lil Ms Debbie is the snack that smiles back! This golden girl is the perfect mix of sweet, soft, and full of joy.

Around 2 years old and 60 lbs, she’s already crate trained and potty trained (neat as a Swiss Roll!) and is a very good listener, soaking up guidance like a Nutty Buddy soaks up peanut butter. A quick learner, she’ll impress you with how fast she picks up new skills—training her is as easy as unwrapping a Cosmic Brownie!

At first, she can be a bit shy—like the first bite of a new treat—but once she settles in (which may take a week or so), her confidence blossoms. Having someone who is home often, or even a retired human, would be ideal. She thrives with companionship and reassurance as she adjusts. A confident, playful doggy friend in the home would really help her feel secure and bring out her best side. Puppies or overly high-energy dogs might be a little much, but she’s the perfect partner for a steady, friendly canine pal.

She has shown that a secure fenced yard is like her personal Oatmeal Creme Pie—comforting and safe, giving her space to play and build confidence. Busy, noisy streets may overwhelm her, so she’d do best in a quieter neighborhood where she can enjoy her sweet life in peace.

Lil Ms Debbie is a sweet girl and has truly shined when romping in the yard with other dogs. She’s ready to be someone’s snack-sized sunshine—soft, sweet, and sure to make life a little more joyful.

Meet Zeus!

Like the god he is named after, Zeus is a confident, majestic pup who knows what he wants. He adapts to new environments and routines seamlessly. He is crate-trained, house-trained, and learns tricks at lightning speed, mastering them in both English and Spanish.

Zeus is an active boy who prefers to hang out outside, whether that be running in the yard, catching flies, or going for a walk, or even a run with his humans. He is great when going on a run though is working on his leash manners when things slow down to walking pace and he can get excited about distractions. Zeus would be happy to have a canine buddy who can keep up with his high energy play style.

The Village of Palatine Hometown Pride Awards recognize properties with outstanding landscaping and curb appeal. We’re thrilled to share that we won 2nd Place in the Business Category!

What makes this even more special? Our beautiful garden is entirely created and maintained by volunteers! All season long, dedicated volunteer groups have rolled up their sleeves to w**d, water, and care for this space and their passion and hard work truly shine through.

🐾 Happy National Dog Day! 🐶

There’s no better way to celebrate than by meeting a dog who’s as special as they come. Meet Katie, the total package wrapped in soft fur and a wagging tail! 💛

This sweet, medium-sized girl is as wonderful inside the home as she is outside. Katie is house trained, crate trained, and sleeps soundly through the night. She’s respectful of people, pets, and your belongings, and she rarely barks.

She loves car rides, walks beautifully on leash, and is always down for a snuggle session after a fun-filled day. Katie is a true social butterfly who gets along with dogs, cats, and kids. She’ll happily entertain you with her goofy toy antics and grass-rolling joy.

Katie knows several commands like sit, come, and leave it, and she’s eager to please. Whether she’s playing with a doggy sibling, hanging out with children, or soaking up all the love as the center of attention, she’ll thrive in a caring home.

🌟 After raising her puppies with love, Katie is finally ready for her turn to be spoiled. She’s playful, gentle, and gives the sweetest kisses. Now, she’s ready to bring joy, companionship, and laughter into her forever home.

With a name as noble as his heart, this 1-year-old pup is on a quest for belly rubs, squeaky toys, and someone to adore him forever. 🐶✨⁠

House-trained, crate-free, and a perfect gentleman with dogs, kids, and the occasional mail carrier, Scout brings the perfect mix of sweetness, smarts, and silly charm.⁠

He’s playful (especially during his nightly 8–9pm zoomie hour), cuddly, and always ready for squirrel patrol or a cozy couch nap. 🛋️🐿️

This 2-year is a total heart-stealer. Puppy is full of charm, loves his squeaky toys, and is always up for a playful romp with his doggy pals. His goofy grin and wagging tail are guaranteed to brighten your day!

Treats? Oh yes! Puppy is a huge fan. He’s got the most irresistible “please give me a snack” eyes you’ve ever seen. While he may be a little shy at first, with patience (and a treat or two!), he’ll soon be your most loyal companion.

Puppy is looking for a calm, quiet home with a fenced-in yard and another friendly dog to help show him the ropes. He enjoys walks too, but a peaceful place to relax and play is where he’ll truly thrive.
