Heat Stroke Alert: As temperatures climb, the danger of heat stroke in pets increases. It's critical never to leave your pets in a parked car. Here's how you can keep them safe:

👉 𝙒𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙝𝙖𝙙𝙚: Ensure pets have access to cool water and a shady spot at all times.
👉 𝘼𝙫𝙤𝙞𝙙 𝙈𝙞𝙙𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙩: Walk pets during cooler times of the day—early morning or late evening.
👉 𝙆𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙊𝙪𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙨: Never leave pets in parked cars, as temperatures can rise quickly and dangerously.

🐾 Here are some steps you can take now to ensure your pets are ready for anything:

1. 𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙖 𝙋𝙚𝙩 𝙀𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙮 𝙆𝙞𝙩: Include food, water, medications, a leash, collar, and ID tags.

We see this a lot... pet parents searching for a pet sitter or dog walker, but the first comment is: "I'm looking for someone who doesn't charge an arm and a leg..."

PAWS is hiring for part-time Animal Care Attendants. Responsibilities include keeping dog kennels and cat condos clean and sanitary, feeding and exercising shelter pets, taking selfies with cute pets, stocking supplies, doing laundry, washing dishes, general cleaning and assisting shelter directors with health/temperament evaluations of shelter pets.

The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude, enjoy working as part of a team, have excellent communication skills, eagerly willing to walk dogs in all kinds of weather, enjoy organizing and be excited about helping pets AND people. Experience not required, on-the-job training provided for those ready to join the fun!

Shifts are from 8am-4:30pm
The facility is open 365 days a year
Weekends and holidays required
Pay: Competitive Hourly Pay
