God has gained an angel. The reason as to why I love animals as much as I do. My grandmother Lee Foley was the kindest woman you could ever know. She would bring us as kids to Hi-tor animal shelter to rescue pets that had no chance of adoption. As kids we brought home raccoons, squirrels, kittens, dogs just about anything that were injured or lost and she made it a point to help find the care they needed . She would feed the colony of cats behind the blauvelt library and it was just an amazing scene to watch them all come over to her when she arrived . My grandmother worked for 20 years at Rockland Psychiatric Hospital. She would call me up and say “bring the dog” so the patient’s can see. She did anything in her power to help someone smile. All this while raising 9 children. She had a way about her that you knew you were safe and loved from the moment you met her . Please take the time to say a prayer for my grandmother . We miss her dearly and know she will continue to watch and protect all of us.

Many may remember Melissa from when she worked here at Ascot. I had the pleasure of meeting Melissa in grooming school in 1994. And 20 years later, working side by side sharing laughs and making memories I’ll hold forever . She had the kindest heart for all animals and was a very talented groomer, Please take a moment to say a prayer for her children, family , husband and many friends during this very difficult time. On Thursday January 12,2023 Tammi Pecoraro earned her angel wings . She was the proud mother of three beautiful children Donald, Nick and Zoe. I met Tammi as a teenager working in ShopRite . This summer after i had pneumonia Tammi was the first to say I would love to help you . Not a week would go by where she would say Thank you for letting me fulfill her dreams of working with animals. Thru this our children became stronger friends and I was blessed to witness her whole hearted love and dedication to her family and friends. Her generosity and kindness has left a lasting impact on those around her. Tammi will be missed by many but her memory will live on.
Please, if you could take time to pray for her children and family during this very difficult time . 🙏🏼
