Welcome Scout!

This handsome little dude is 4 years old and originally adopted from OCAS. He’s now struttin’ into Space Coast Frenchie Rescue with confidence—and one of the most iconic receding hairlines we’ve ever seen. Think George Costanza meets high fashion.

Scout has some pretty intense skin issues. While he’s not totally hairless, we suspect someone may have tried to create a hairless Frenchie… and, well, this bold experiment happened. But don’t worry—Scout is already on his skincare journey, and we’re working to find the perfect regimen to get him glowing (and maybe a little fuzzier).

He’s not available for adoption just yet—we’ve gotta get his skin healthy and happy first. But once he’s feelin’ fresh, this little legend will be ready for his forever home.

ADOPTION ALERT 🚨 Big congrats to baby yoda and his new mom!!

🐾 Thinking About Adopting a French or English Bulldog? 🐾

At Space Coast Frenchie Rescue, we LOVE these squishy-faced sweethearts—but it’s important to know they come with big medical needs and financial responsibilities.

🩺 Bulldog Health Needs:

Prone to breathing issues (brachycephalic syndrome)

Chronic skin allergies, ear infections, and joint problems

May need surgeries

Often require special diets and ongoing medications

💸 Financial Commitment:

Bulldogs are not low-maintenance!

Expect higher-than-average vet bills

Regular checkups and sometimes specialty care are essential

We’re committed to placing our dogs in homes that understand and are prepared for the lifelong care bulldogs require.

They give so much love—but they need the right kind of support in return. 💕

📌 Before you apply, make sure you’re ready—financially, emotionally, and physically—for the bulldog life.

Lunas old parents sent us some photos and videos of her when she was young. She apparently has always been good at basketball lol. The only change is she added some wheels to her game! Check the comments for more photos of our special girl!

Meco is back on the market, and he’s taking applications!

This sweet and spicy boy was recently adopted, but due to his specific needs and his dad’s busy schedule, he’s come back to us at the rescue. No hard feelings—sometimes love means knowing when to let go (cue the rom-com montage music).

Meco is a professional snuggler, certified drama king, and part-time sunbather. He enjoys:
• Being pet non-stop (he will scream at you if you stop—truly, the audacity),
• Gourmet meals only (dry kibble? Please. He demands toppings),
• Being glued to your side 24/7 (or yes, more screaming),
• Going on walks in his wheels like the proud little king he is,
• Lounging on the couch like a fluffy potato for hours.

He’s been great with every dog who’s passed through his foster home and brings a big personality to every room he enters. But—and this is important—Meco has a history of biting. He’s not for the faint of heart or for first-time dog parents. He needs someone experienced, patient, and willing to put in the time to understand his triggers and work with him gently but firmly.

Once he trusts you, he’s a ride-or-die cuddle bug. But building that trust takes consistency and care.

Also worth noting: Meco does best when his bladder is expressed regularly to help prevent UTIs. It might sound intimidating, but it’s manageable—and worth it for the love you get in return.

If you’ve got a heart for the underdogs and a soft spot for loud little weirdos, Meco just might be your guy.

🚨🚨Available for Adoption🚨🚨

Meet Rux

After a long and very dramatic tenure as CEO of the rescue, Rux has decided it’s time to retire from his executive duties and find a more suitable environment—preferably one where he can be worshipped full-time.

Rux is a 2.5-year-old fluffy French Bulldog with big opinions, bigger attitude, and even bigger… grooming needs.

Here’s what you need to know before submitting your résumé to be his personal butler—I mean, adopter:
• He requires his own room. Sharing space is beneath him.
• His diet? Custom. Gourmet only. Bonus points if you plate it like a Michelin star meal.
• He does not do kids. He sees them as sticky liabilities.
• Other male dogs? Absolutely not.
• Female dogs? Maybe, if they respect his title.
• Naked cats? His soulmates. No further comment.
• And yes… he does need his t***y wiped daily. But he bites. So, good luck.

He’s sassy, bossy, and high-maintenance—but also kind of perfect (in his own mind).

Happy April Fools!
Rux isn’t really available (we couldn’t handle the HR paperwork), but we do have tons of adoptable dogs who are just as cute, way less bitey, and probably won’t demand a corner office.

We wanted to take a moment to reintroduce someone truly special—Captain Hook.

If you know his story, you already know it’s one of heartbreak, resilience, and the incredible power of second chances. Captain Hook was found as a stray and taken to Brevard Animal Services with a serious injury to his front left leg. His prognosis wasn’t good. The shelter scheduled an amputation and planned to transfer him to rescue afterward.

But then—just one day before surgery—he was reclaimed by someone claiming to be his owner.

We’re still not sure who really owned him. We were told he had been living with a person experiencing homelessness. Sadly, after he was reclaimed, he never received the veterinary care he so urgently needed. His leg worsened. He suffered in silence.

Weeks later, we were contacted by the man’s mother. She told us she was going to pick up Captain Hook and surrender him to us herself. When we arrived, our hearts broke—his leg was severely infected, with necrotic tissue. He was in pain, and he needed help immediately.

We rushed him to our vet, hoping to save his leg. And for a moment, there was hope. Surgery was performed, and we crossed our fingers, prayed, and waited. But in the end, the kindest thing we could do for Captain Hook was remove his leg and end his suffering for good.

Now, Captain Hook is living up to his name—a brave little pirate with a heart of gold. Sweet, gentle, loving, and endlessly forgiving… he is everything we love about rescue dogs.

But his journey wasn’t easy—and neither was the vet bill.

His adoption fee will never come close to covering his medical expenses. That’s why we’re asking for help. Every single dollar goes directly to Captain Hook’s care and helps us continue rescuing dogs who have no one else.

If you’re able to donate, no amount is too small. Your support truly saves lives.

He gets around effortlessly on three legs, and his spirit is absolutely unbreakable. Sweet, gentle, loving, and endlessly forgiving… he is everything we love about rescue dogs.

Thank you for being part of Captain Hook’s story. Thank you for believing in rescue.

Meet Gizmo — under two and already a heart-stealer!

House training? We’re at a solid 85%. He’s working on his diploma in Paw-lite Bathroom Etiquette with a major in Positive Reinforcement and a minor in Consistency.

Bed privileges? Granted. Crate trained? Absolutely.
Aggression? Never heard of her. Gizmo is sweet as pie — if pie had four legs and a tail.

He sits on command, plays a decent game of fetch, and has a strict no survivors policy for stuffed animals. RIP, teddy bear #47.

He’s a professional chewer, currently sponsored by Yak Cheese Sticks and Butcher Bones.

Gizmo LOVES people — all people — and would be great with respectful kiddos who understand that dogs deserve gentle love (and maybe a snack or two).

He’s your classic Velcro pup: loyal, cuddly, and deeply committed to the fine art of staring at you while you eat. Speaking of food, he LOVES it. Like, probably wrote a love song about it. Not aggressive — just passionately obsessed.

He even learned to ring a bell to go outside… but now he rings it during mealtime like he’s your personal dinner bell. ?

He’d shine brightest as your one-and-only pup, but he gets along with other dogs too. Cats? Still a mystery.

Ready to meet your new best friend?

brookie got adopted last event but came back for a visit and we didn't post her last time. Gigi found her dream home and we're thrilled. Ruby Tuesday found a home and they're gonna love her to pieces. Little Miss Ethel found a home.
Met some fantastic people with more adoptions happening soon. Huge thanks to everyone who supports us and helps us make this magic happen.
Thank you thank you 😊
