*NEW MONTHLY PREVENTION FOR CATS*

Good afternoon PBAC family!

We are now carrying the new Nexgard Combo for cats as our monthly prevention. This prevention offers coverage for fleas, ticks, heart worms and a variety of intestinal parasites including hookworms, roundworms and even tapeworms!

Did you know the the most common way our feline friends get tapeworms is from ingesting fleas while grooming? This prevention will keep all the fleas away and their pesky tapeworm counter parts.

This prevention comes in a new applicator syringe so you can see exactly how much is present in each tube when applying to the skin.

If you have any questions regarding this product please feel free to give us a call! We do have some samples of this new product available now if you’re interested in trying. Due to limited supply we are offering one sample per household, please call for availability.

We also are offering the 12 month injectable heart worm prevention called ProHeart if your pet does not like to take the monthly prevention for heart worm disease.

If you have any questions on our monthly prevention options please feel free to give us a call. We’d be happy to help you and answer all questions.

As always we try to match the online pharmacy list price as well as offer rebates we get directly from the company to make it as easy and affordable as we can to protect your fur babies.

Today, after 13.5 years, Drs. Paul and Jen Sikoski officially “passed the torch” and now invite you to help welcome new owners and veterinarians, Dr. Roddy and Dr. Kelly!! 🥳
Some of you have already gotten to meet them over the last few weeks, but here’s a little more about their background and vision for the future. We sincerely believe you will build a strong bond with them and that you and your pets are in the best hands!! Thank you all for being part of our clinic family, we appreciate you 🫶🐾♥️

Both Dr. Roddy and Dr. Kelly graduated from Iowa State University – College of Veterinary Medicine in Ames, IA. Dr. Roddy is a proud Texas native who grew up outside of Austin, TX and attended Texas A&M University for his bachelors degree. Dr. Kelly was born in Lakeland, FL but moved to the northeast when she was eight and grew up in Granby, MA. She attended University of Massachusetts Amherst where she received her bachelors degree.

After veterinary school Dr. Roddy and Dr. Kelly moved down to Houston, TX and started their careers in small animal medicine in the city’s suburbs while providing relief services to the Humane Society and other neighboring clinics. Ready for their next challenge and to step in their veterinary careers they have now moved to Palm Bay to become the new owners of Palm Bay Animal Clinic in November of 2022.

The veterinary industry continues to move toward large, corporate owned facilities and the Sikoski’s have focused on keeping the personalized, family doctor/ “small-town” environment that gives clients the opportunity to build closer relationships with the staff members and the Roddy family is here to continue in their foot steps.

Please post a photo of your pet to help us welcome them!! 🐾

Please note we will be closed Wednesday and Thursday (9/28 & 9/29) as a hurricane precaution. Stay safe out there! 🌀🐾

To all our PBAC family, the following email went out to all active clients this afternoon. We wanted to share it here as well:

We are writing to inform you of some important changes happening at the office this Fall. Please take a moment to read this message in full.

After 13 years as the owners of Palm Bay Animal Clinic, Drs. Paul and Jen Sikoski are stepping away from clinical veterinary practice and will be transferring ownership to Dr. Amie Linville and Amanda Penn (CVT, CVPM), owners of Rockledge Animal Clinic. This decision did not come easily, but we believe it is the best thing for our growing family and we know we are leaving our clients and patients in the best hands. The new owners are also a family bonded team, not a corporation, and we have every confidence that they will care for your pets with the same personal touch and strong veterinary-client-patient relationship we have strived to provide over our time as your family veterinarians.

Additionally, Dr. Jocelyn Brickett will be leaving to pursue an opportunity which will allow her to become a true “wildlife” veterinarian; a decision she made prior to our decision to sell the practice. Her last day at Palm Bay Animal Clinic is October 28th. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors.

Dr. Amie Linville and Dr. Megan Corsbie will begin seeing patients in October - we encourage you to make an appointment with them for your pet’s next physical exam/medical concern to get to know them better.

Dr. Paul’s last day in the office will be October 31st. As you know, Dr. Jen is already out on maternity leave with new baby girl, Julianna Claire - born June 28, 2022. Our family is so thankful for the relationships we have had with you over these last 13 years and hope you continue them with the new owners. Thank you for your patience and support as we turn the page on this next chapter of our lives, we are truly grateful.

Sincerely, the Sikoskis

Hello from the doctors and staff of Palm Bay Animal Clinic! As we get ready to celebrate our 13th year together, we have some exciting news and updates to share.

It's official! We are moving into the new building after close of business on Saturday May 14th- Monday afternoon May 16th. The new building is located at the same address, just behind our current one, and we are all very excited to get into the new space. Of course, this transition is likely to come with some initial challenges as we get everything setup and settled in, so we thank you in advance for your patience and support. The new facility will have 5 exam rooms and a much larger lobby in addition to several other changes that we know will improve work-flow and enhance our ability to serve you and our patients.

We wanted to let Dr. Brickett's clients know that she will be out of the office from May 17th- June 6th and June 23-27. This may be especially important to note for those that have exotic patients, as we will not have a doctor available that can see them during those times. Please contact us ASAP if you have any exotic pet health concerns you would like Dr. Brickett to address so we can do our best to get you on her schedule.

Drs. Jen and Paul Sikoski are pleased to announce that a new baby girl will be arriving in June! It has been a long journey for their family as they faced many challenges with secondary infertility and experienced the loss of two pregnancies in the last 5 years. Dr. Jen will be going out on maternity leave after the last day of school (Friday May 27th) and at this time does not have a scheduled date to return. While she will miss her patients and their families, she is so thankful to be able to take some extra time to spend as a mom to the new baby and big sister Ashley.

Thank you all for your continued support and kindness to our clinic family- we know these last few years have been challenging for all of us and appreciate each of you. We can't wait to see you in the new facility!
