His favorite part of the day 🐶
Another Session with Khan. Teaching him the boundaries and concepts of tug, at the same time having fun. Letting him get little wins. He is a dominant dog and shows reactivity towards intact males. So we had a tug session in the area where the other dogs were earlier.
Ghost has to check on the chickens every morning. They were raised indoors for almost 8 weeks and bonded 😂 🐶 🐓
Working with Khan . His owner said he's dog aggressive. A few minutes into the session, the workers at the boarding facility were walking dogs nearby. He started to focus on them, tail up . I broke out the tug to see if he would engage with me which he did right away and we started playing. Energetic and fun dog to train with.
Happy Independence Day. The red symbolizes hardiness and valor, white symbolizes purity and innocence, and blue represents vigilance, perseverance and justice.
God Bless America 🇺🇸
Awesome session with Jax. This is after our second session . The owners and workers said He won't get out of the pond once he's in. So I let him go in on a line so I don't set him up for failure. I let him go in and have fun. I also had him come out and we played fetch & frisbee. After a few reps , he saw he can have fun when he comes out of the pond too.
Some recall with Mia the Pup. Spunky little girl.
Ending the session and letting Mia cool off in the pond
Fetch with Mia. The owners have an issue with her letting the ball go. A common problem. I'm showing her the concept of the game and building a bond. Be patient. The dog will get it if you set a clear picture
Taking Mia out to the training area for her first session
Playin' In the rain blooper reel 🤣
How to clean and sanitize your dog's toys
Walking the owners how to reward with toys and interact in a fun way with the pup. At this point Zahr lunges for the toy and starts biting. We wanna keep training fun , but at the same time. Shape the behaviors that we want. Remember you’re raising a dog. When she’s 80 lbs of pure muscle, it may be what we call a problem 🐶 (excuse the grainy video. For some reason when clients send videos on occasion they transfer like that)
This is the progression with Hercules by the end of the first session. Much more focus and looser leash walking. I’m still working in corrections and leash pressure along with teaching the heel command.
First session with Hercules. His owner wants to work on his leash pulling. This dog is EXTREMELY strong and highly reactive to other dogs. This is the first few minutes of the session. As you can see. His pulling on the leash is intense. Zero focus on the handler and he’s very anxious about leaving the kennel worker as you’ll see in this video. I switch from a slip lead to a prong as its actually safer since he’s choking himlself with the leash.
Watch the other video to see his progress by the end of the session.
