💙 A Team Effort to Save Muneca 💙

This week, our very own Certified Veterinary Technician Lily brought in her beloved dog, Muneca, who started feeling unwell over the weekend. After a thorough evaluation, Dr. Ciucci diagnosed Muneca with a possible splenic tumor and performed a life-saving splenectomy to remove her bleeding spleen.

We're thrilled to share that Muneca is now at home, recovering comfortably with her mom by her side.

🐾💖 Moments like these remind us of the deep bond we share with our pets and the importance of the work we do every day.

Wishing Muneca a speedy recovery! Let’s all send her lots of love and healing vibes. 💌🐶

Let’s give Bear a big round of applause for being such a brave boy! 👏💕

💥 Fireworks Can Be Scary for Pets! 💥

Here are 5 tips to help keep your pets calm during tonight’s celebrations:
1️⃣ Create a Safe Space 🏠: Set up a quiet, cozy area indoors where your pet can feel safe and secure.
2️⃣ Play Background Noise 📺: Turn on the TV, fan, or soft music to help mask the sound of fireworks.
3️⃣ Keep Pets Inside 🚫🐾: Ensure all doors, windows, and fences are secure to prevent frightened pets from running away.
4️⃣ Exercise Earlier in the Day 🐕: A tired pet is a calmer pet! Take them for a good walk or play session before the festivities begin.
5️⃣ Comfort with Care ❤️: If your pet seeks you out, offer calm, reassuring cuddles or distractions like toys or treats.

If your pet requires special calming medications or support, please contact us this morning – we’re here to help!

Did You Know? Lilies are Extremely Toxic to Cats! 🌸

Many people adore lilies for their beauty and fragrance, but did you know they can be deadly to our feline friends?
😿 Even the smallest exposure—licking pollen, chewing a petal, or drinking water from a vase containing lilies—can lead to kidney failure in cats and possibly death.

🚨 Symptoms to watch for:

Drooling or vomiting
Lethargy
Loss of appetite
If you suspect your cat has been exposed to lilies, act fast! Seek veterinary care immediately—time is critical to saving their life.

💡 Pro tip: Choose cat-safe flowers like roses, sunflowers, or orchids instead.
