Hi there! My name is Blue, and I am a 9-year-old bull terrier mix who absolutely loves being outside and playing in the water. I thrive on being around people and enjoying their company. Currently, I find myself back at the rescue after a few failed attempts at finding a forever home. What I truly desire is a retirement home with a big yard and plenty of space to play. I dream of a place where I can spend my days sleeping and playing, without the presence of other dogs, just me and you.

I am a pretty laid-back dog who enjoys simply hanging out with my human companions. The stressful environment of the rescue makes me anxious, and I tend to whine a lot, but all I really want is a loving home to call my own. My name is Charlie, and I want a home so bad, I’ve been waiting for a person who is looking for a dog like me, so I can see what a home is like. I’m the handsome brown boy weighing around 75lbs, and about 3years old, they say me and my brother are a Rottweiler mix, but who knows! Everyone always says my tail is wagging all the time and I’m always ready to make everyone laugh with how silly i am! When someone offers to rub my belly I run as fast as I can and lay down right in front of you, that’s why Belly rubs are our absolute favorite, cause I will melt into a puddle when you scratch me! Im also a food enthusiast, and I am more than willing to share treats with you and your family. This sweet boy Mellow, is a 5-year-old stud that is full of energy and love, and he's looking for his forever home! Don't let the name fool you, Mellow loves to play and have a good time.
He enjoys swimming, playing fetch, tug of war, and rolling around in the dirt until he's no longer white 😄
Mellow loves people and is great with kids. He would love a home that he can be showered in attention.
At around 50lbs, we estimate him to be a staffy, pittie mix, and he gets along great with other dogs who are nice to him.
Mellow currently has a playmate friend named Max, and gets along with him very nice! A home with no other dogs would be best, we can certainly try a meet and greet with your current dog. But he's ready to find his forever family who will give him all the attention and love he deserves.

Jett, the sweetest gentle giant ever, is a wonderful companion looking for his forever home. At around 4 years old and weighing in at 80lbs, he is a mix of American Pitbull Terrier and American Bulldog. With his striking appearance and loving nature, Jett captures the hearts of everyone he meets.
One of Jett's favorite pastimes is accompanying volunteers to outdoor restaurants, where he happily greets numerous people and spreads joy with his friendly demeanor. However, it's important to note that Jett is dog selective, meaning he has a few canine friends but may require a meet and greet with your current dog to ensure compatibility.
In addition to his affectionate personality, Jett is incredibly intelligent. He already knows how to sit and is always eager to learn new tricks, especially if tasty treats are involved.

Felicity is a joy to be around and brings so much happiness to anyone she meets. Her playful nature and love for outdoor activities make her the perfect companion for an active individual. Whether it's a game of fetch at the park or a swim in the lake, Felicity is always up for an adventure.

Nala New Life Rescue and RUFF Pet Rescue have partnered up together to shed light on our dogs that have been over looked for years. We ask for you to read though this post and consider adopting or fostering one of these wonderful pups. Also please share as much as possible so these “FORGOTTEN DOGS” have a chance of finding their FOREVER loving home!

With their incredible qualities and long stay at our facility, these dogs have faced challenges in finding their forever homes due to their lack of compatibility with other dogs. We affectionately label them as "not dog friendly," but it's important to note that this does not diminish their amazing personalities and potential as loving companions.
They are intelligent and eager to please, making them highly trainable. Their food motivation serves as an excellent tool for further training and bonding with potential adopters.
While these dogs may not be suitable for households with other dogs, they have so much love to offer to the right family. They thrive in environments where they can be the center of attention and receive all the affection they deserve. Their loyalty and devotion are unmatched, and they are always ready to shower their humans with unconditional love.

This old and very loving dog needs a home where he can find peace and warmth for the rest of his days:
Samurai’s story is near and dear to our hearts. We love this boy so much and he has such a sad story: Back in 2017 a family came to Nala’s New Life Rescue and asked if we could help board their two dogs Missy and Samurai while they were moving, and hopefully getting into a new home. But time went by and they never came back for their dogs.

Missy and Samurai were very bonded, so we could not find a home for these 2 large dogs, but they adapted well to life in the shelter as long as they were together. In 2019 with great sadness, we lost Missy to cancer. For the last 2 years, Samurai has been in a foster home, and he was very happy there, but due to unforeseen circumstances (through no fault of the foster) Samurai had come back to the rescue.
Samurai is 11 years old now. He’s a beautiful boxer/pitt mix and around 75lbs of pure LOVE. He loves every human he meets and is great with kids. He has an amazing adoring personality, a staff favorite for his calm and sweet demeanor. Samurai’s favorite thing is his toys! He loves to play fetch, but for an older boy, he can’t do much of it before he needs to take a nap. Samurai is very affectionate so if you’re looking for a companion to cuddle up with, he is perfect! The only reason we have had a hard time placing Samurai is that he needs to be the only dog in the home, other than that, he’s perfect!❤️

Ty is a gentle giant, that adores cuddling and will melt into your arms when you shower him with affection. Ty's playful nature shines through when he's given squeaky toys or tennis balls to chase after.
One of the things that sets Ty apart is his unwavering loyalty to his brother Charlie. They are inseparable and bring out the best in each other. Seeing them play and interact is heartwarming and it's clear that they have a special bond.
Ty is a well-behaved boy, that doesn't mind bath time or trips to the vet, making him a great companion. He has mastered basic commands like sit and lay down. His sweet demeanor has made him a favorite among the rescue staff, but it's time for him to find a family of his own.

Nixie's journey has been a long one, despite her inability to get along with other dogs, she has become a cherished member of our rescue group! She is currently 7years old and 55lbs!
One of Nixie's most endearing qualities is her sweet and cuddly nature. She craves affection and has a knack for making anyone feel loved. Whether it's curling up on the couch for a movie night or snuggling in bed, Nixie is always there, ready to provide comfort and warmth.
But Nixie is not just a cuddler; she is also an incredible companion for outdoor adventures. With her lab/terrier mix background, she possesses an innate drive to hunt. Lizards, squirrels, and any other critters that cross her path don't stand a chance.
And if you're up for a game of fetch, Nixie will happily oblige. Her energy and enthusiasm are boundless, and she thrives in a big backyard where she can run and play to her heart's content.
While Nixie's love for adventure and her affectionate nature make her an incredible companion, finding the right home for her has proven to be a challenge. Her aversion to other dogs means that a home without any canine companions is necessary.

Benji, a 5-year-old Hound mix, is an absolute sweetheart. He joined our rescue almost 4 years ago, and ever since then he has been patiently waiting for his forever home. Benji is a well-behaved boy who knows how to sit and come when called. He is a social butterfly and adores the company of other dogs, both male and female. Some of his friends include, mellow, JJ, and banjo! All of which are also available for adoption..
When it comes to his personality, Benji is a true cuddle bug. He loves nothing more than snuggling up with his humans, especially when it's time for a nap. Belly rubs are his absolute favorite, and he will happily roll over for them at any given moment. But don't let his love for relaxation fool you - Benji also has a playful side. He thoroughly enjoys playing fetch and engaging in a good game of tug of war. And his love for sticks is truly the cutest thing ever.

Taz is a 7-year-old pittie mix, weighing around 60lbs. He is an absolute favorite here at the rescue. With his adorable face and loving personality, it's hard not to fall in love with Taz. He craves attention and enjoys being showered with love and affection.
One of Taz's favorite things in the world is playing with toys. Whether it's tennis balls, squeaky toys, or rubber toys, Taz loves them all. He is always up for a game of fetch and will eagerly drop the ball at your feet, waiting for you to throw it again. Taz's playful nature extends to water as well, as he loves to swim and splash around.
Taz is also highly food motivated, making training a breeze.

Gia's journey has been a long one, as she is now 9-10 years old, but her resilient spirit and loving nature have never wavered. Gia's gentle demeanor and calm presence have made her a favorite among the staff.
One of Gia's most endearing qualities is her love for attention. She craves human interaction and thrives on the affection she receives. And if there's one thing that can instantly brighten her day, it's a tasty treat. Gia is incredibly food motivated, making training sessions a breeze.
Speaking of training, Gia is a smart girl who has mastered several commands. She knows how to sit, give paw, and lay down with ease. But her talents don't end there. Gia is a dream to walk on a leash, never pulling or straying too far from her human's side.
While Gia adores people, she prefers to be the only dog in the household. Her interactions with other canines have been less than ideal, and she feels most comfortable being the center of attention. Pastor's playful and goofy nature is truly infectious. His big, expressive eyes and wagging tail never fail to bring a smile to everyone's face. Despite his age, of 8 years old, Pastor has an incredible amount of energy!
One of Pastor's favorite pastimes is playing with squeaky toys. He will happily entertain himself for hours, tossing the toy in the air and pouncing on it with pure delight.
But Pastor's love for toys is only matched by his love for treats. His eyes light up whenever he catches a whiff of something delicious.
