Thank you so much to Greater Good Charities and to Boehringer Ingelheim Cares for their NexGard and HeartGard product donations!

Flea, tick and heartworm prevention is essential to ensuring the health and well-being of our shelter dogs. We are very grateful to have received these products at no cost to our organization. This is a major contribution and will make a big impact on our shelter and the pets in our care.

Thank you Greater Good and Boehringer Ingelheim Cares!

It is our pleasure to announce that our November Volunteers of the Month are Cheyenne Hitt & Antonio Andres!

Their volunteer journey began in May of 2023 with their very first fosters; 4 bottle feeder kittens with RINGWORM! Our foster coordinator now affectionately refers to them as her “Fungus Fighters”. They encourage other fosters via our Facebook Foster Page to not be scared when considering fostering bottle babies.

Their second foster was a pup named Moana who was having a tough time at the shelter and needed a break. Cheyenne and Antonio promoted her on social media to get more eyes on her amazing personality. They could be called the original “Promote-a-Pet” fosters that helped to establish that program last year.

Cheyenne Hitt & Antonio Andres are always willing to take the “tougher” foster cases when it comes to kittens and foster dogs. They have been a huge blessing to the HSTC Foster Family. Our shelter and our community are grateful to have Cheyenne and Antonio on Team HSTC - The BEST Team!

**All Adopted!!!**
Ummmm, these might just be the cutest set of puppies EVER!!!

These 3 adorable babies are available for adoption at 4100 SW Leighton Farm Ave, Palm City. But don't be fooled by their cuteness, these pups are still new to the world - which means that they will need potty training, obedience training, socialization, and many toys to chew on!

If you're up for the challenge and are ready to add one of these adorable furballs into your loving home, please stop by our shelter to meet them. They are 6 months old and we believe that they are Cocker Spaniels, although we do not have proof or papers.

🐶 First come first serve for meet and greets, we cannot place holds. To learn more about our adoption policies, please visit www.hstc1.org/adopt.

Let the Fundraising Begin!
Mutt March is taking place on Jan. 18 at Memorial Park and the Peer to Peer Fundraising Campaign is LIVE!

Create a fundraising team (Pack) by visiting https://p2p.onecause.com/muttmarch2025 and select “Get Involved”. Think of a creative team name and share with your family and friends – it’s as simple as that!

All funds raised from this campaign go directly to shelter. The more people that donate to your Pack, the more money for the animals! A simple way to spread the word is by sharing your Pack’s link on social media.

Our Story

Founded in 1955, the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast (HSTC) is the only open access, no-kill animal welfare organization operating in Martin County. With 3,000 animals being rehomed annually through aggressive adoption programs and other services, HSTC has joined leading shelters around the state and country as a model organization for lifesaving culture change in its community.

HSTC accepts all animals regardless of health, age, temperament or breed. Over the years more than 350,000 animals have received care through HSTC's programs and services. As a result of our commitment to excellence and fiscal responsibility, HSTC has earned a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator for the seventh consecutive year, and nine out of the last ten years!

By sponsoring an HSTC program, attending our events, or contributing through our direct mail campaigns or publications, you continue to help us provide quality medical care, food and shelter, adoption and spay neuter programs, humane education and other important services for the animals and community. Thanks to the generous support of people like you, we are able to expand and grow these vital services. Our staff and volunteers encourage compassion for all life on our planet.

Please note that the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast is a private non-profit organization located in Palm City that is not affiliated with any local or national shelter with similar names.
