We want to make you aware of an important update regarding a brand of pet microchips utilized at our practice in the past. The company Save This Life (STL) has unexpectedly ceased operations and is not responding to inquiries
This means that microchips registered with STL are no longer accessible in their database, which could make it difficult to reunite lost pets with their families.
If you’re not sure if your pet has an STL microchip, check the number to see if it starts with 991 or 900164. If they do, the good news is that the microchip is still functional. However, to ensure your registered contact information is properly linked and can be accessed if needed, we strongly recommend re-registering STL microchips with a new database as soon as possible.

To re-register your pet’s microchip for free, BuddyID is offering free registration until February 28, 2025. Please contact BuddyID at 1-800-434-2843.
