The adoption fee of $225 is tax deductible, as all funds are used to help the next fur kid. In order to support the correct care of your new fur kid, the following items are provided: A harness, a lead, a bed, blankets(for Chihuahuas), a small bag of dog food, treats, toys, bones and two months of flea and heart preventative. Complete medicals have been performed on all fur kids, including spay an

d neuter, and all records are provided at the time of adoption. Adoption fees can be paid by a bank or personal check or cash. Adoption donations, are without exception, NON-REFUNDABLE.

🐾🐶 The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly of Owning a Frenchie 🐶🐾

Today, we want to shed some light on the adorable, quirky, and sometimes challenging world of owning a French Bulldog, or as we lovingly call them, Frenchies. These little bundles of joy come with their own set of pros and cons that every potential pet parent should know. Let’s dive in!

🌟 The Good 🌟

1. **Adorable Companions**: Frenchies are known for their bat-like ears, squishy faces, and expressive eyes. They are incredibly cute and have a knack for making you smile, even on the toughest days.

2. **Loving and Loyal**: These dogs form strong bonds with their families. They are affectionate, love cuddles, and are often described as “clown dogs” because of their playful and entertaining personalities.

3. **Great for Apartments**: Frenchies are small and don’t require a lot of space, making them perfect for apartment living. They are relatively low-energy dogs who enjoy short bursts of activity followed by long naps.

4. **Good with Kids and Pets**: French Bulldogs are generally good-natured and get along well with children and other pets, making them excellent family dogs.

🌧️ The Bad 🌧️

1. **Health Issues**: Frenchies are prone to several health problems, including breathing difficulties due to their brachycephalic (short-nosed) structure, hip dysplasia, and skin allergies. 📢🐾 Meet Miss Tilly Tu Tu: A Journey of Trust and Love 🐾📢 Dear Friends and Supporters, We are thrilled to update and share the heartwarming story of Miss Tilly Tu Tu, a resilient and spirited 13- year-old who has captured our hearts here at Canine Estates. Miss Tilly Tu Tu came to us halfway healed, thanks to the incredible efforts of Miss Janet, a wonderful woman also dedicated to rescue. It was then our mission to complete her journey of healing and trust. When Miss Tilly first arrived, she was understandably cautious and wary of her new surroundings. It has been a process, almost a year in the making, to earn her trust. She suffers from chronic dry eye, which requires eye drops several times a day. Initially, she was not a fan of this routine and would try to bite us out of fear and discomfort. But with patience, love, and consistent care, Miss Tilly has made incredible progress. She has learned to trust us and now knows that after her potty break outside, she gets her eye meds followed by a treat. The excitement she shows for her eye meds these days is truly a testament to her amazing transformation! Miss Tilly has also figured out her daily routine like a pro. She knows exactly where her kennel is, how to get in and outside, and when it's time for her eye meds. Watching her navigate her day with confidence and joy is a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do. We are so proud of Miss Tilly Tu Tu and grateful for the opportunity to be a part of her journey. These two sweet souls have been together all their lives, and it has been a journey filled with love and companionship. However, we have made the incredibly difficult decision to separate them, and we wanted to share the reasons behind this decision with you all. At 13 years old, finding a home together for Phoebe and Sebastian has proven to be incredibly challenging. We deeply want both of them to enjoy the comfort and love of a forever home in their golden years, and we believe this is the best path to ensure that happens. While they have been lifelong companions, we've observed that Phoebe and Sebastian are not as bonded as we initially thought. Sebastian tends to pick on Phoebe when they are kenneled together, which has been causing her distress. When they are out and about, Phoebe eagerly seeks out younger dogs to play with, while Sebastian prefers to be left alone, enjoying his own quiet time. Seeing the sadness on Phoebe's face when she is kenneled with Sebastian has been heartbreaking, and it became clear to us that we needed to listen to the signs our furkids were giving us. Our primary goal is to ensure the happiness and well-being of every furkid in our care, and sometimes that means making tough decisions that not everyone will understand. But our four-legged friends, especially our beloved brachycephalic breeds like Pugs, Bulldogs, and Shih Tzus, are at a higher risk in these scorching temperatures. 🐶 Canine Estates is here with an URGENT reminder: Just 5 minutes in the heat can spell danger for these precious pups. Their adorable flat faces make it much harder for them to cool down, and that's why we must be extra vigilant. 🎥 In the video we're sharing, you'll see Milo. At just 7 minutes outdoors, he began to show concerning signs of heat distress—which was our cue to immediately move to a cooler environment. 🔍 Do you know the warning signs? Excessive panting, drooling, reddened gums, and a rapid heartbeat are all red flags. If your dog is displaying any of these symptoms, it's critical to act fast. 🆘 Here's what to do if your pet starts to overheat: 1. Move them to a shaded or air-conditioned area. 2. Provide fresh drinking water. 3. Apply cool (not cold) water to help lower their body temperature gradually—think wet towels or a gentle hose down. 4. Contact your vet ASAP.
