My love and longtime soulmate, our little girl, Kiko crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday. 19 years of being my cuddle bug, my confidant and, early on, my savior. Time happened and her health declined. The thought of her being in pain (renal failure), we could not bear. If you were lucky enough to meet her, you know how loving and social she was. How she stood up to dogs like she was one. She was my city cat who became our little lioness of the desert. Mornings would find her outside in the driveway, watching the cars and the dog-walkers and the world go by. She always stayed close to home and we never had to worry too much.
She was given so much unconditional love. She filled our lives and our home with such joy and happiness. Even though I’m broken and hurting, I know it was the right thing to do. She’s no longer suffering. We love you so much, Kiko! We still feel your loving presence. Rest In Peace, my love.
