This is so important. Also, scented laundry additives, dryer sheets, detergents, fabric softeners, febreeze, perfumes and colognes. These can all irritate your pets or worse, make them very sick.

The phrase "trust the science" has become enormously popularized over the past few years. A study or survey or test is waved around and someone shouts "proof!" and the media says "trust!" and the people are expected to march in order like good ants because of their virtuous "belief".

"The public has a distorted view of science because children are taught in school that science is a collection of firmly established truths. In fact, science is not a collection of truths. It is a continuing exploration of mysteries." - Freeman Dyson, noted physicist and author

True science does not trust, it explores. It examines from all angles. True science doesn’t set out to "prove" something, it looks and observes and finds the continually evident manifestations and follows those until they too eventually cease to be manifest. Science does not search for finality or proof or a One Great Truth or a gift-wrapped answer. Rather, it pushes boundaries messily and categorizes how each boundary breaks.

When someone tells you to trust the science, you should be skeptical - science is not something that can be trusted, because to offer proof is not its function. To continually break things until they work and to do so in a fervent attempt to understand the world, yes. To operate within our most recently understood metrics and with our best understanding of available data, yes. To close the book and assume we know the rest? Never.

Solutions Pet Products will not stop attempting to understand the complicated and evolving world of nutrition science and we will not “trust” - we will verify and cross reference and, honestly, attempt to break the data. If we throw everything we have at it and it remains strong, we can confidently adopt it.
