Day Training
Valo had quite the first day at day training! It was amazing to see him come out of his shell throughout the day through training. He was a bit unsure this morning, trying to keep a bit of distance and by the end of the day he was coming up for pets ☺️ good boy buddy! Working through these things together is one of my favorite things to do!
Distance commands
I wanted to share this video of me messing around with Scuttle before classes tonight so those of you in class can see what we are working towards! This is just a small example!
Keep up the great work everyone and see you next week!
Gingers Agility Debut!
WHAT A WEEKEND!
Ginger and her owner made their agility debut this weekend accomplishing a qualifying run their first ever time out! 🙌🏼Gingers owner came to me back in November with the goal of being ready to trial this past weekend. It was a big goal but I was happy to help accomplish it! After only SIX TRAINING SESSIONS, they showed up at the trial ready to give it a go! I am SO proud of them! So much fun to watch and cheer on the novice teams! The video has their clean run and then some amazing highlights from their other runs together! Truly amazing accomplishment 👏🏼 way to go!
Goofin off
One of my favorite things about finally having my own space, is being able to go goof off with the dogs when the temperatures are unbearable outside! They got to wrestle and play for physical stimulation and then they did some light and easy training for some mental stimulation. It’s been a HOT minute since I’ve worked all 4 dogs at one time. This is my happy place 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Feeling grateful 🫶🏼
Caught a stunning sunset 🌅 with my best friend after a great private lesson 💜🧡💙

Louie’s first day!
Here’s a little video of some of the things we worked on today for Louie’s first day! He’s a bit of a shy guy so we did lots of things to help build his confidence 💪🏼 I didn’t ask much from him during our lowes outing because I just wanted him to have a positive confidence building experience! He really started to un tuck his tail and enjoy himself :)
He absolutely loved playing with Scuttle and he enjoyed meeting the birds too!
PT
“Building trust and respect between you and your dog” is my slogan and let me share with you how that’s beneficial!
Recently Nikon got his splint off from a fracture in his foot. Despite being healed he was limping on his leg and not wanting to use it several days after getting the splint off so I started some physical therapy with him. We have spent a lot of time together learning fun little tricks which ended up reaping great benefits! I’m asking him to wave his good paw so he’s putting light pressure on his healing one to help build muscle and use again. I’m also using the fitness pad for the same reason. Since we have done a lot of work together and built a trusting eager to work relationship, I am able to help him during his recovery process. He is walking on his foot more and more everyday now that we have started PT!
I also saved 100’s of dollars at his follow up appointments because he did not need to be sedated for his bandage changes or X-rays. He was complimented every week on how good of a boy he was as he laid there calmly during his bandage change. Not to mention it’s safer for him not to be sedated once a week! Teaching your dogs to be calm is so important! We do that by creating trust and respect between you and your dog! You never know when doing something so enjoyable with your dog, could turn into something very useful!
Decided to dust off our inside skills since sadly our opportunities for training outside are quickly coming to an end. We meet in several dog friendly public locations for training in both the valley and anchorage! If you’re interested in teaching your dog how to behave in public so they can come along with you, send me a message and I’ll help you get started!
Nail trim
Everyone has their preferred method of trimming their dogs nails. Mine is to have my dogs calmly on their sides as I dremel. I do this once a week! Whats your preferred method? 🤗 💅🏼 🐾
Dog Trick
Just a little evening fun with Scuttle 🤗 this is one of his favorite tricks!
Check out this video for an important safety message and tip!
Just remember, advocating for your dog is always the right answer 🐾 🫶🏼🐾
During Hei Bai’s first visit we really focused on learning how to speak the same language! Once she learns how we communicate with each other, the rest follows 🙂
Check out this awesome video of her being desensitized to the paddleboard! She’s usually very hesitant with new things but with clear direction, she rocked it!
When you figure out how to effectively communicate between you and your dog, the skies the limit!
Message me to learn how!
Happy Friday 🐾
Who can resist a cute puppy video?!
These 3 got to enjoy some play time after class! They are too cute 🥰
I LOVE learning! When you are passionate about something, learning never ends!
On our trip out of state we got to work with Sarah Baker! She is brilliant! Her teaching style just makes sense and her number priority is the dog! My kind of trainer!
This is only a teeny snap shot of some of the neat things we worked on. They seem so simple, but make an astronomical difference!
I wanted to share with all of you because it was one of the highlights of our trip!
Oh and a few days after this, Sarah went on to claim the number one seed on the USA World Agility team 🤯 no big deal 😱
👏🏼 🇺🇸 👏🏼 🇺🇸 👏🏼
Huge congratulations!
Freyja and Bluex killin it for work hard play hard! Although they were both a bit skeptical of the cart, they worked through it and rocked it! We also worked on being in new environments and calmly existing 👏🏼 way to go girls! https://partnersincrimek9.com
Last week we had Scuttles half sister Nova for the day! Her owner worked a long shift and she came along for the ride so we decided to have a little fun 🤗
