Kennedy is a very sweet, affectionate and outgoing girlie. She is an active dog who would benefit from a big yard to run and play in, fenced in of course is a bonus! Kennedy can be anxious at times and would be best suited in a home that does not require her to be alone for long periods of time. Kennedy has done great with children. Very gentle and loving. She just loves love! Kennedy's foster home has other dogs in it, and she has done wonderful with them. She has really enjoyed playing with the puppies and is incredibly tolerable! Kennedy is potty trained and is always on her best behavior in her foster home. She is not crate trained yet but has done well when left alone for short periods of time. Kennedy is walking much better on a leash and has taken to positive reinforcement well! She knows the cue “sit” and is currently working on “down” because she does tend to jump up for a hug! Kennedy could make such a great family dog, and she is already used to the family lifestyle. Her foster family adores her and want nothing more than to see her happy and loved! If you feel that Kennedy may be a good fit for your home, we would love for you to meet her.

Shockingly, hardly any of our puppies were adopted this last weekend! We have such a fun group. We wanted to see them in action and share them with you all ❤️

We will be having Foster Orientation on Friday, February 7th at 4pm here in shelter at 9470 E Chanlyut Circle, Palmer, AK 99645! 🥰

You need to attend to join our foster family!

A full shelter tour will take place, so please plan to wear sturdy shoes.

MSB AC&R covers medical costs, food, toys, blankets, crates, and more. Fosters will need to be able to drive fosters to and from the shelter for vaccines and/or medical appointments.

Fosters are for all species - from dogs and cats to reptiles and rodents!

This weekends Clear the Shelter was a success!! We adopted out 18 animals. 12 cats (including our bonded pair Jeep & Wrangler), 5 dogs, and 1 bunny!! Here a some pictures of animals going home with their family. 😊🐈🐕🐰

VOLUNTEER ORIENTAION

Join us Saturday, February 1st, 10am-12pm to learn more about our volunteer opportunities, other programs, and the animal shelter.

🐾Wear closed toed shoes & clothes you don’t mind getting messy because we will be taking a full shelter tour mid-way through the orientation and completing shelter support training at the end for those who desire to continue volunteering with us.
🐾Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.

Today is the day!! It's Betty White Clear the Shelter! Please be aware that there might be a little bit of a wait time to see an animal or adopt on, since in the past we have had a line out the door with people coming in!

We love starting out the new year with one of favorite adoption events and we are excited to announce we will be hosting our 4th annual Betty White Clear the Shelter Event! More information on the event will be posted next week.

These bottle baby puppies had the best possible outcome thanks to one of our many rescue partners, Best Friends Animal Rescue! These babies came to us after their mother passed away after giving birth. Without the quick action from their humans and our rescue partner, these puppies more than likely would have had a different outcome.

With the help of our rescue partners taking animals out of the shelter, it allows us the availability to better care for the animals in our care. Our rescue partners truly make a big impact in our shelter and in the lives of so many animals. Thank you Best Friends Animal Rescue and to all our other rescue partners!
