🏖 Planning a vacation and taking your pet or leaving them behind can be stressful! Here are some of our top tips to make it easier! 🏖

🛩When traveling with your pet, we recommend🛩
1) Double and triple checking that your pet meets all of the requirements for travel. Sometimes this means getting an examination and a health certificate with a veterinarian.
2) Discuss with your pet's veterinarian if they need flea/tick/heart worm preventative or sedation for travel.

🌟If your pet is staying behind🌟
1) Make sure whoever you are trusting your pet with has extra food and medication(s) for your pet in case you get delayed.
2) Have a backup emergency contact in case your pet needs somewhere else to go.
3) Make sure everyone knows who your pet's regular veterinarian is if they get sick or have a medical issue.

If you want to give your furry friend a popcorn treat, here are some things to keep in mind:

❌ No butter, salt, or other seasonings
❌ Avoid unpopped kernels so small pets don't choke
❌ Watch for an allergic reaction or digestive issues

✅ PLAIN, air popped popcorn only
✅ Small amounts are best
✅ Only give the soft parts of popcorn so pieces of kernels don't get stuck in their mouth or throat

🍿Or avoid all the hassle and just give them some of their own treats instead and then you can enjoy all of the popcorn for yourself! 🍿

Watch until the end to see equipment we use for most anesthetic procedures 🦷 Sometimes pets break their teeth and we may not even realize it until their examination with a veterinarian. Pets are so tough and stoic, they don’t always tell us if something is bothering them or what they need.Did you know some superficial “simple” fractures can be “fixed” if they aren’t too severe and aren’t causing any pain? To prevent the tooth from further damage, we are able to use a special sealant on the tooth to preserve it and hopefully avoid any more breakage! (Every fracture is a little different so you’ll want to check with your vet to see if this might be an option for your pet.)Do you have questions about your pet’s teeth? Or maybe you’re wondering if they’re due for a dental cleaning?
