I have a few chickens for sale. 4 chocolate, and 2 lavender @12 weeks.
2 Jubilee, 6 Chocolate at 9 weeks.
I cannot guarantee the sexes but I have a good idea of Roo’s (1 Jubilee, 4 Chocolates) the rest are more than likely pullets. Text me or message me for more info…. These chickens are looking very good, which is why I’m keeping a Lavender Roo and a chocolate Roo.

These are the Black Silver Laced Orp chicks from the shipped hatching eggs…they were all detached and saddle air sacks, and all hatched…7 out of 7

Today is hatch day for the Silver laced Orpington hatching eggs, so here is the update…..
These eggs all had detached air cells, and after a lot of research we settled on a plan for ours to hopefully aid in a better success rate than 20%….
We had one pip Thursday morning (day 20), but no others, until around 10pm. Because I saw a little rocking in the first pipped one I decided to set my alarm and get up around 12am.. At 1:30am she started zipping, so I definitely wanted to stay up in case I needed to assist….then out of the blue another started zipping!!!

Now for an update on the Black Silver Laced Orpingtons I got in the mail last Friday!!
We lost one unfortunately, but all 7 of the others are doing great and their feathers are coming in!!

I think I figured out the mathematical equation for ”Chicken Math”

A = amount of chicks purchased
B = amount of trips to the feed store
C = every time you look at chicks online

A + B(C) = infinite

Well I haven’t posted in a bit because of researching an issue/problem with the recent addition we received. The Black Silver laced Orpington hatching eggs we received were candled on day 7 and something that we didn’t even know about was discovered. “Detached Air Cell”. I knew that hatch rate could be low with shipped eggs, but every egg has a detached air cell, so that rate goes way down….A lot of research has been done and I’m hopeful in getting 3 or more out of 9. I will give updates and pics if candeling for those that also don’t know or haven’t seen detached air cells, and what we decided to do….And end result (which, with fingers crossed, will be better than expected)

Well they are here. Ordered 6 got 9, so we are hoping we get a good hatch…. All candled and no cracks or damage (fingers crossed)
