Case files for his arrest! We are so heartbrokenen for this sweet puppy. Prayers to the family and dogs that were harmed.

We have heard MULTIPLE stories from pet owners that are extremely similar to this case. We highly recommend you get your veterinarians records, including doctors notes and file them with the State Attorney.

The face of an abuser, an absolute disgrace, and a wanted criminal who is now on the run from a felony warrant. We started this by saying we will get justice, that hasn’t changed. Nicholas, we know you’re reading this, you are a coward (and a 🐥🐓) - we dare you to come back and face judgement. It’s only a matter of time, you screw up at every turn. On the bright side Nicholas, when you’re behind bars you’ll still be able to move around, you’ll still be fed - everything you deprived animals of when you’d beat and torture them (just keep that same energy, you’ll need it when you’re with the big boys). Dad can’t get you out of this one - real, honorable, and dedicated Police Officers/Deputies are coming for you. They don’t like how you disgraced the badge. Had you been a deputy still they would’ve cut your uniform off after cuffing you, that’s what they do to trash like you.

Nicholas Anthony Zotto, 29, who was charged with Animal Cruelty in November is facing an arrest warrant on a new case of animal cruelty that occurred at the same business he was supposed to have shut down.
Manatee County Sheriff's detectives learned Zotto was boarding dogs at Pawsome Sitters (515 46th
St. W. Palmetto) just weeks after he was issued a Notice to Appear for Animal Abuse and having been ordered by Manatee County Code Enforcement to stop conducting business at this residence.
Between November 18, and November 29, Zotto agreed to board two dogs in exchange for payment but when the owner came to pick them up, one of the dogs looked sick and was in obvious discomfort. A veterinarian found the dog was suffering from open sores and severe dehydration. Through the investigation detectives learned the dog, while in Zotto's care, was left in a confined space and sat in its own filth for an extended period.
Based on that evidence, an arrest warrant was issued for Zotto, charging him with Aggravated Animal Cruelty. Deputies have made attempts to arrest Zotto, but he fled Manatee County and is believed to be in New York State.
Zotto was charged with Animal Cruelty on November 2, stemming from video evidence depicting cruelty to a dog he was boarding at his Palmetto business earlier in the year. Manatee County Animal Services also cited Zotto with multiple civil ordinance violations.

We’ve been working behind the scenes on a few things which is why there hasn’t been many updates. Court cases take time, we also don’t want to interfere. At the moment we are trying to work around an estimated $2,500 records feed with Hardee SO. Another big issue is the previous employee which is key to elevating charges abruptly stopped communicating and will not respond to the DA’s attempts to get their statement. We see this as a betrayal to the animals this employee saw being abused while doing nothing - this was an opportunity for this individual to help get them justice.

Just an FYI - we aren’t going anywhere, we have been waiting on more records and have also been waiting on the state to take action regarding the previous employee who wants to help. This employee is key in getting this elevated to a felony and time is running out. Nicholas beat Grizzly more than the one time seen on the video which would mean it meets the standard for repeated abuse meaning his charge should be elevated to a felony. It’s become obvious they want to sweep this under the rug and not do what they should be doing. This is unacceptable and it’s time to pressure them as well.

EXCLUSIVE AUDIO OF PAWSOME SITTERS CO-OWNER BRIAN BOISSEAU: Audio captured between Brian and an employee in regards to the day Nicholas was bit by Ozzy at the facility. Brian talks about Nicholas Zotto having puncture wounds on his arm and each leg so bad he will need stitches. This was after Nicholas Zotto continued to terrorize two dogs who had no history of biting. In one incident he was in full Hardee Sheriff Deputy uniform taunting and screaming at them, he even KICKED THEM. He physically and mentally abused them so bad they became extremely reactive just at the sight of him. After being repeatedly terrorized and scared one day he HAD HIS TASER OUT as he was taunting them and backing them into a corner so naturally they bit as their only defense - the past employee was a witness to this incident. The dogs owner was NOT alerted to this and didn’t know until months later. Neither Nicholas or Brian would report dog bites or incidents like this to their insurance company to avoid paperwork.

Nicholas Zotto has had two arrests happen at his house that were drug related - his girlfriend then some guy who was also living with him. He made up nonsense about finding drugs and tried to blame it on this employee a while back on NextDoor. There’s a track record here with this. He allegedly put drugs in his wife’s car after towing it to his house then called the cops on himself in an attempt to frame her - that didn’t work. This is another way he tried to control people - it was do what he wants or he will either beat you or frame you.

HUGE DEVELOPMENT: A past employee of “Pawsome Sitters” has contacted the state attorney to provide evidence in the case. This employee tried to stop Nicholas Zotto numerous times - without this employee who knows what else he would have done to these animals. Nicholas Zotto puts fear into everyone he comes into contact with and abused his power as a Hardee County Sheriffs Deputy. The last post showing how citizens tried to alert his superiors shows how he used connections to escape justice multiple times.

We now understand why Zotto was put on radar duty - his “undercover” sucks. He’s posing as a woman 👩 using the account “Summer Cali” to try and follow the page - this is a separate profile, he’s using the other one to sell his wife’s vehicle and children’s bed. Great guy, but then again - what else would you expect? Might want to let everyone know before they look at this vehicle, he (allegedly) put a bag of crack in it then called the cops on himself trying to frame his ex-wife - wouldn’t recommend going near it.

CITIZEN TELLS SHERIFF ZOTTO "VIOLENTLY BROKE THE DOOR DOWN WHILE YELLING OBSCENITIES DIRECTED AT HIS WIFE (UPDATE PART 4): Hardee County Sheriff were alerted to this on September 5th (22) yet they waited until September 14th (22) to check on the house (Why was it his superiors rather than MCSO?) The ENTIRE neighborhood has witnessed AND reported Nicholas Zotto repeatedly yelling at this family so loud inside the house they can hear it from outside. They feared for the safety of the now ex-wife and children. They were concerned about him having a gun in the house. This citizen said clearly "I DO NOT BELIEVE THIS FAMILY IS SAFE"



Why did his superior feel the need to add his opinion saying "It should be noted that (redacted) are from New York and are noticeably louder and "expressive" when they communicate"

We have ANOTHER witness who says this event happened the way the complainant said.

This complaint should have been forwarded to Manatee County Sheriff's Office to keep the integrity of the investigation if they took it seriously - his superiors can and should investigate complaints on one of their deputies but it doesn’t appear they alerted manatee, they went to another county out of their jurisdiction and handled it themselves.
