Ok ya'll....Just over a week until it's time to put up or shut up ;) Who is ready to catch some mullet, drink some beer, hang with great people, laugh and spend some money for a great cause?! This year, all of the proceeds are going to our very own Joanie Shiver. For those of you that know her, count yourself blessed. For those that haven't had the privilege to know her yet, she is an amazing and strong woman, the matriarch and cornerstone of the Shiver Family and she has a heart of gold. She and her family have been there for so many and now it is our turn to be there for her. She has been going through some serious medical issues and as you know, that means racking up some serious medical bills. Please join us in showing Joanie and the Shiver family some of the generosity, love and support that they are always showing to others in this community.

Captain's Meeting will be Friday night, November 1st if you want to fish.
(I'll be posting entry forms/rules next or you can pick them up at Gulley's this weekend)

Raffles, festivities, weigh-ins, mullet toss, cast net contest, good times will be Saturday, November 2nd beginning at 11 am at Sea Breeze Park, Terra Ceia.

Look at these adorable FACES. They all need homes. NOW.
MCAS is OUT of kennel space. We are DOUBLE over our capacity for pets. Our situation is critical.
We need our community’s help: If you’re looking for a new pet, please come ADOPT; if you can't adopt, please FOSTER. If you can’t foster, please SHARE and maybe a friend will adopt or foster! Also, please tag any rescues to come help transfer out as many animals as possible.
Please visit our shelter in Palmetto or Manatee County Cat Town – adoption fees are $20 for dogs and $10 for cats for a limited time. MCAS is Manatee County’s only open-admission shelter and we depend on our community to help us during times like this. You can reach us at 941-742-5933. See all adoptable pets at mymanatee.org/pets

I can’t believe we are just over 2 weeks away from the Ben Gullett Mullet Tournament….Are you ready?!

This year all of the proceeds will be going to benefit a very courageous young lady named Paige. She is a 12 year old, 7th grader that lives locally who enjoys dancing and spending time with her friends. In January of this year Paige’s life was forever changed with the heartbreaking diagnosis of Leukemia. Tests showed that it was A.L.L. (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia). Since that time Paige has bravely battled a battle that won’t stop for more than 2 years. The treatment has been complicated and at times it has caused extreme allergic reactions and has even caused brain swelling and toxicity. The ongoing treatment continues to disrupt Paige’s old routine of school and activities, but Leukemia has not taken her humor or her smile.

We are currently collecting raffle and auction items as well as looking for sponsors to help us, help Paige. If you or anyone you know might be willing to donate or be a sponsor, we would be so very grateful! Please feel free to message us through FB, or contact myself or Ricky. On behalf of Paige and her family, we thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity.
