There have been countless beautiful people who have reached out to me regarding how to donate to Gypsy and Justice. Below please find the gofundme link. I will also provide my business Zelle and Venmo information.
Every dollar will be managed by me, all bills will be paid by me through the donations, and we would love to be able to give some back to Opportunity Farm if we are able as she has opened her heart and her home to Gypsy and Justice without a second thought and her love & care will not go unnoticed. Any extra money will be donated to other local animals in need.
Thank you all for the endless love and support.
Today Gypsy and Justice are doing okay. They are calm and peaceful and we are just taking this one day at a time.

As so many of you have followed the story of Gypsy and Justice over the last few days… Dana English needs your support for Gypsy and Justice’s Healing Journey

‼️‼️‼️🔴 ‼️🔴‼️ FRIENDS- I need your help. This morning I posted this dog who was set to be euthanized at 10:30 due to being reactive (but we don’t know how reactive or what her triggers are). She has been owned by a family for 5 years and they had a baby and the dog is now reactive to the baby walker among other things. About 3 weeks ago, she believed she tore her ACL so there is pain involved as well.
We thought we found new owners for this beloved girl, but they backed out at the last minute.
She is coming with everything she needs but she needs a home with someone who knows dogs, who can train and desensitize, and work with her to figure out what will help her thrive.
At this time- it would be best for her if it was a home with no children and low key animals. We have been told that she can be reactive to men as well however we are not sure what really triggers her at all:
Again- this is not a dog that we know much about. Prior to her belonging to the woman who surrendered her, she was tied to a tree and left for dead in Tallahassee.

‼️I am an animal person- and I know that sometimes what’s best is to let them go & we are prepared to do that if we cannot find the perfect fit for her. We won’t put others or her in danger but I wanted to try just one more time in hopes to find her person.
Currently she is safe, however she cannot stay forever.

Do I know anyone looking for a companion horse?

Beau is in search of a forever home. He is 25. No medical issues. He can do light riding, but needs an experienced rider. His owner is going through some big life changes and needs to sell her home. We will continue to follow his care. Would prefer for him to stay local to Sarasota, Bradenton, Palmetto Florida.

Text me if you are interested.

Since my diagnosis, my mantra really has been to LIVE ONLY FOR TODAY & I know it sounds so cliche and silly until you are forced to break your life down into small intervals of time because we never know what is around the next bend. There are hills and valleys when living with something deemed “incurable” and it really changes your perspective on life and what it actually is.
⭐️I try really hard not to worry about tomorrow and honestly the older I get, the more I try not to make plans for too far in the future because today is all we have, so let’s focus on making today the best it can be and we will worry about tomorrow when it comes

BUT with that being said, 2023 has proven to be my most challenging year thus far and I am glad to see it go.

I don’t plan too far in the future but I do set goals and think about the things that I want to achieve in order to continue to grow…

So I am excited to see where 2024 leads, and I hope that it is full of healing, abundant happiness and peace in my life, & maybe, just maybe this year will be the year of the CURE 💕

I wish you all so many blessings, good health, and abundant happiness too & thank you for being part of my journey!🩶

Cheers 🥂

Welcome to my Ted talk:

I feel like I need to say it-

Please please PLEASE think twice, three times even, about buying your child a pony for Christmas this year especially if you’ve never owned horses or don’t have a clue about them.
They cost a lot of money! And believe me, the free ones are the most expensive!
Yes of course, we can all start somewhere and yes of course, there are professionals out there that will help you and answer all of your questions, but horses come with a LIFELONG commitment. Sure, a pony might be a cute idea now for your 5 year old, but what happens when that 5 year old becomes 10, or 15? What happens when she would rather do gymnastics or play softball? What happens to that sweet Christmas pony when the days get busy and all seem to blend together and next thing you know, days turn to months and turn to years that that cute little pony has watched you and your children come and go and then one day you wake up, your 5 year old little girl is now 16 and that Christmas pony is reaching 25-30 years old. She’s gone with friends or busy with school and you are sick and tired of feeding the Christmas pony.

In most cases, it’s not a happy ending.

I know what happens, I’ve seen it 1000 times. Take it from me. If you want to buy your child a horse for Christmas, and you think you have the time, the money and the land to do it- take them to a local farm, get them in riding lessons. Get them set up with a trainer and learn the responsibilities of horses. If you cannot afford 50-75$ per week for riding lessons, then you most certainly cannot afford to own the horse on your property.

ANY of my horse people will tell you the same thing. There are places you can take your children to learn and be with animals. You don’t need to do a disservice to yourself or the horse by thinking you can just wrap a big red bow around its neck and surprise your kid on Christmas morning and each day after that will be filled with the same endless wonder. It doesn’t work like that.

Please- DO NOT buy your children a pony for Christmas!

Sincerely,
The crazy horse girl whose daughter does NOT own her own pony, and won’t for a very very long time. ❤️

About Me:

My name is Dana. Originally, I am from the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I am a true animal lover, as my whole life has revolved around all things animals! While most of my riding knowledge is from the background of Flatshod Tennessee Walking Horses, I can safely say that regardless of the breed, I love them all the same. My love for the horses is something that I think that I was just born with, and it is through the years of experience, that my knowledge has grown by leaps and bounds.

I have had so many wonderful opportunities growing up to be able to ride all different kinds of horses. Although I don’t show anymore, it was a huge part of my life for a long time.

I am very well versed in general Equine care and Health. I had a mare with diagnosed Cushings disease that I grew up with, who gained her angel wings in June 2018. That is where my experience of clipping came from. Because of the cushings, Dusty’s hair grew uncontrollably, and we needed to give her relief when her coat just wouldn’t shed. I used to clip her a few times a year. Back then, all I had were a few dull blades, and no experience, but she stood so quietly taking me all day to conquer this task. She knew that I was just trying to help! Yes, then there were jagged lines, and I even carved a heart on her rump because I wanted everyone to know that saw her that she was so, so loved. Who knew that years later, I would start a full clipping business in her memory.

Since moving to Florida in June 2016, I have had the pleasure of working at a few of the most beautiful facilities in the Sarasota area and even managing one within the Sarasota Polo Club. I have a passion for all things horse related and being in the business of clipping and grooming horses is a blessing for me. I am grateful every single day to be able to travel the area and meet wonderful people and their animals. I pride myself in being calm and patient with them. My goal is to provide a comfortable, pleasant experience. This is a service that truly helps the animals feel better and I take such pride in that. It is amazing that you can truly see some of their eyes brighten when you start to make them feel cooler in the hot Florida heat!
