A family mourning the loss of their wife and mother from brain cancer were doubly heartbroken when their dog went missing during July 4th celebrations. But their dismay turned to joy when their lost dog returned home during a television interview. Will Rumley was speaking to Georgia’s WCTV about t...

Pspspspsps responsibly.

Making the pspspspsps noise around wild animals is not recommended. You may think you’re an animal whisperer, but you just insulted their mother and are now surrounded by a horde of angry squirrels.

In conclusion, pspspspsps pspspsps pspspsps psps pspspspsps! Translation: “Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries.” Sorry, we heard that wrong. It’s “Remember to treat wildlife with proper caution and respect.” Our apologies to the hamster.

I’m honestly disgusted at the number of people on my fb feed, defending the actions of the natural bridge zoo owners and condemning the Calvary that’s there to liberate them from hell on earth, at the hands of monsters….yes, even if that means being euthanized….because existing in hell isn’t living, and it takes a hell of a toll on an animal’s body & organs…

THIS is the standard of care that the owners subjected the creatures in their care to!
And every fu***ng person defending the zoo should have to watch this video - beginning to end - on a big screen tv.
Watch their actions & THEN defend those mother fu***rs.

This is natural bridge zoo.
I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again… Hell is empty. The only monsters are walking the earth with us.

You think feeding wildlife is cute? Wildlife is perfect WILD.

You think feeding wildlife is cute?
Wildlife is perfect WILD.

Well... this is awkward. Yesterday, we posted a black bear for Wildlife Wednesday, and lo and behold, last night, we had a not-so-little visitor at the campground at Gorges State Park 😬. Maybe they thought the photo we used was unflattering?

Visitors and the bear are fine, and park staff are working on implementing bear aversion tactics. But this does mean that the Gorges campground is closed for the next 2 weeks. If you have a camping reservation between now and November 16, you will receive a full refund.

The park remains open for day-use, but we advise visitors to always use caution (at Gorges and all state parks in bear country).

👂 BE AWARE, try to make noise periodically, and don't use earbuds. (The bear more than likely hates your taste in music and podcasts anyway.)

👯 DON'T HIKE ALONE, if possible! Take someone with you. (Whether you choose someone who looks more appetizing than you is your business, but keep in mind that beauty is in the eye of the bear-holder.)

🐶 Always KEEP YOUR PETS ON A LEASH or leave them at home. (Dogs are friends, not food. If anyone can translate that into bear language, let us know. In the meantime, 6-foot leash at all times!)

🗑️ PACK OUT OR DISPOSE OF ALL FOOD AND TRASH. (It's rude to leave things at the bear's house, and they're clearly already grumpy.)

But seriously folks, stay safe out there! DO NOT APPROACH A BEAR AND/OR TRY TO GIVE IT FOOD! If you encounter a bear, back away slowly and quietly in the opposite direction.

Park rules exist to keep you and wildlife safe. Our friends North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission have more great BearWise tips here: https://www.ncwildlife.org/promotion/bearwise

Sweet Willow has a passion for finding the only puddle to wallow in. It’s a talent. Willow’s human was in search of someone to give this playful & funny girl a clean up, a full brush out & a minor trim up, while keeping her Rastafarian roots intact. I jumped at the chance to spend a couple hours with this amazing girl! Willow is a therapy dog team member with Green Dogs Unleashed & spreads smiles & joy to all she meets. It was such a fun day.

Party on, Willow & keep finding those puddle to jump in! Don’t let anyone tell you that it’s a bad thing to enjoy the simple pleasures!

A before and after of Green Dogs Unleashed newest foster.
I had the pleasure of transporting him from the shelter to his foster mom.
Upon discovering that he was likely sprayed by a skunk, we made a quick plan for a same-day pampering session to spiff him up.
Welcome “Skunk”! Like the smell, the name stuck.
Here’s to a new life, with better days & smells ahead.

Skunk is an absolute sweetheart! Playful, funny, charming, energetic & smart as a whip. He’s going to keep someone on their toes (but at least now they won’t have to hold their nose)!
He needs to have an appointment with the old Dogter, to have his snip snip taken care of. But, boy, he’s going to be a blast.

Through the past several years I’ve honed my skills as a hobby groomer, out of necessity, as the owner of several Yorkshire Terriers & many long haired cats. I’ve volunteered my services during hoarding & neglect cases with the local animal shelters and rescues. I have decided to offer my basic grooming services to the local community. I’m patient, and I promise that I will love each of your babies just as you do.
