-Stalls are 12’x 10’ with Dutch windows in every stall

- Poulin Grain fed 2x daily, quality hay, heated water inside & out during the winter months & stalls cleaned every day

-Large grass pastures & small paddocks available for turnout- Horses get turned out everyday! We recently added 4 more pastures! (They will be seeded soon)

-Lighted indoor riding arena & 65 acres of fields to ride on, and a newly built outdoor arena!

Stall board- $500/month.
Pasture board- $350/month.

Join us at our stress free, well maintained facility. All disciplines are welcome! English & Western riding lessons are available, but not a requirement to board with us. Located in Palmyra, NY.

Our last open horse show of the season was the best our riders have had to date! Everyone improved their rides this show and brought home some blue ribbons to show for it.

This women right here is very much a huge part of why Locust Grove Arabians is a success. She has helped with feedings & chores weekday mornings for 8 years now. She has been retired for 8 years now and traded her desk job for a pitch fork and a leaf blower. Many of our clients know her as my mom Terry who helps with the horses, but she’s so much more than that to me. Every weekday morning she feeds all of the horses and starts chores until I get there to finish from my morning school bus run. We have the best team at the farm and I am so proud to have my mom as one of those team members! 🫶

The spotlight is on one of our lesson students Kaydence, Facebook memories are the best! She is the longest lesson client of the barn, she has been riding with us for 7 years now. She first started lunge line lessons on Tess. This year she is cantering one of our advanced lesson horses at the show & doing excellent!

We are so proud of the lesson program we have created at LGA. Thank you to all the clients & parents who trust us to instruct their children! 🏆🐴

🐎Pony Camp Day 🐎

Our lesson students enjoyed a fun day at the farm! This is a great way for our students to expand their knowledge beyond riding a horse. Maddy L Alford, our lesson instructor, even had them brainstorm how they would run their own facility if they had one of their own.

Another horse show in the books for Locust Grove Arabians!! All of our riders improved from our first show of the season & our horses were excellent as they always are. The kids smiles says it all 😎

❤I am a lesson horse.❤
I am a horse that isn’t as recognized as the top hunter jumpers, the best western pleasure horse, or the best National show horse, I am a lesson horse. I am the backbone of the foundation to do all of those things. I am a lesson horse.
I am not loved by one person. I am loved by several people. I don’t have my person, I have my people. I am a lesson horse.
I will teach your child and yourself more than just to ride. I will bring your child out of their shell. I will teach your child about life. I will be yours and their shoulder to cry on. I am a lesson horse.
I will bring my family the joy of teaching kids. I will bring my families business growth. I am so loved by my family, even if they don’t express it everyday. My family allows others to show me love and enjoy me. I am a lesson horse.
At the end of your childs’ journey on a lesson horse, they will out grow me. They will find one that jumps higher, a horse that is show quality, a horse much faster than me. But, I will never outgrow being a lesson horse. I will be the one that loved your child and helped your child grow into the rider and person they are. I am a lesson horse.
At the end of my time as a lesson horse; I will be covered in grey hair. Each grey hair came from each hour I spent as a lesson horse. I will be in a field of green grass, I will be taken care of as I was when I was a lesson horse. I will watch your child from across the pasture love her new horse. But, I will love your child more than any horse can. I will be the backbone of the business, the family, and your child. Don’t forget about me, I am a lesson horse.

We have had the pleasure of boarding this sweet gelding named “Gimli” for the past 8 months. What a transformation he has made from when he first came to the farm. We are going to miss him as he is going home to a family farm with his wonderful owner! 🤗

🐎 Two Mares Available for Half Lease 🐎

“Rasha” is a Purebred Arabian mare who rides English & Western. She is as safe as they come. Been there done that type of horse. Loves to trail ride too. She is suitable for a beginner child or adult and up.

“Lexi” is a half Arabian mare who also rides English or Western. She is as sweet as they come. She is suited for an advanced beginner and up. She is kid safe if they have riding experience. She knows lateral movements, super soft mouth & moves off your leg nicely.

Both of these mare are available for an on- site lease ONLY. Lease pricing starts at $150/month. Both of these mares are used in our lesson & show program. The farm is located in Palmyra, NY. The farm has an indoor arena & fields to trail ride on. Please inquire for more information!

I wanted to give a huge shoutout to our wonderful assistant lesson instructor Maddy L Alford! Maddy is coming up on one year of teaching at LGA and she has done a fabulous job teaching our children & adults riding lessons. She knows when to push each student to their potential while being kind. She puts our horses needs first and is very attentive. At the farm we have 3 wonderful lesson horses we use for lessons- Einstein, Lexi, & Rasha & Tess who is retired. She teaches each student basic horsemanship in each lesson as well. We are not a farm you are going to show up to with a horse tacked ready to ride, you will learn how to brush, care for & tack your horse properly. These kids are the future of this sport & it is so important to teach them a good foundation of horsemanship & Maddy is doing just that. We are also so thankful for our well trained & sound lesson horses who take all of these kiddos mistakes some days in stride 🫶🐎

Kaydence has been a dedicated lesson student here & recently moved up to a more challenging horse of ours. In a handful of weeks she is cantering Lexi successfully.
