This poor guy has a very bad indentation on his tongue (my picture doesn’t do it justice)
Most likely someone tied him up with the bit in his mouth.
Now the owner has to be very mindful what bit to use and the placement of the bit.

Thank you so much for all of your kind words and understanding. As many of you know we held off floating because I have a few very close family member with a health condition that I cannot chance them getting it.

Today’s findings, a piece of a stick wedged up in the pallet.

The mini was eating and drinking normally and showing no abnormal signs of pain or distress. That is why it is so important to always have your horses checked and floated at least once a year.

Yesterday’s case... The horse hit his face off of the stall door. Horse is fine, eating and drinking.
Going to the clinic to get the broken 403 tooth pulled and the rest wired together (almost like braces) to help everything come together.

Hey guys!
Due to the recent EHV outbreak I wanted to share with you our practices to ease your mind. (Most of these are a daily practice regardless)
Gloves are worn all the time, a disinfectant is sprayed in my shoes before and after each farm. A disinfectant in my bucket as well as lysol wipes to make sure all equipment is cleaned.

Periodontal diseases is no joke.

Your horse needs a yearly dental just like you.
Side note: a veterinarian removed the incisors
