Plot Twist! At the adoption center today we noticed that Zelda sleeps really deeplyโ€ฆso we did a few โ€œtestsโ€ and discovered that she is most likely deaf!

We didnโ€™t expect to find this as both she and Link have golden eyes, not blue, and congenital deafness only occurs in 17-22% of white cats that DONโ€™T have blue eyes. However, we are 99.9% sure that she has very little hearing, if any.

Due to this new information we will be attempting to find her a home with her brother. As you can see, he definitely protects and cares for her, and she loves him equally as much. โค๏ธ

๐”๐๐ƒ๐€๐“๐„: We are saddened to report that sweet little "Vanilla Bean" took a turn for the worse overnight and the very hard decision was made, with the doctors advice, to let this little angel go. He had a short life but was such a joy to all in that time. Please keep his foster mama in your thoughts during this hard time.

Please continue to share and donate in Vanilla Bean's memory so our commitment to help him doesn't strain our ability to help the thousands more kittens in need in our community. We will update the GoFundMe amount when we get a final total from the emergency vet hospital.

Once her foster mom noticed "Mia" had an affinity for yard work, ๐Ÿ˜‰ she wasted no time in harness training this gorgeous tabby girl, so she could be safely supervised while joining the family in the backyard, where she kindly helps with the weeding...in between pretending to be a tiger and bug hunting of course!

Born in the middle of a field on the campus of a local high school, Babet and her siblings Cosette, Javert, & Joly narrowly escaped a horrible fate when a groundskeeper saw them as he was mowing! With no mama cat in sight, the one-day old kittens were scooped up and taken to a CCR bottlefeeder where they thrived on the around-the-clock attention they received.
