Hello,
There are many questions regarding the current respiratory illness affecting areas in the country. There is little known as to the causative agent yet. As with any reapiratory illness, it’s best to avoid high risk areas/situations and keep your pets up to date on vaccinations. Here is a link to a very informative website written by one of my professors from veterinary medical school. The first three articles are about the respiratory illness

We are very excited to announce a new product to treat Osteoarthritis (OA) in dogs! Librela is a once a month injection administered by your veterinarian that provides long-term control of pain associated with osteoarthritis. Librela is a monoclonal antibody therapy that targets factors that cause OA pain, so it works differently than traditional treatments, such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. It is a safe alternative to the traditional treatments because it is is metabolized and eliminated like naturally occurring antibodies, with minimal involvement of the liver or kidneys. Librela follows a monoclonal antibody therapy injection for OA pain in cats, called Solensia. After using Solensia for over a year in cats, we have seen significant positive responses and are confident the same results will be seen in dogs!

If you think your pet would benefit from Librela or Solensia please give the clinic a call and schedule a consultation with a veterinarian.
Watch for our special email on Wednesday that will give more information on Librela and Solensia.

Dear clients,

On February 28th, the state of Illinois will be lifting the mask mandate for select indoor settings.

Given the nature of our close interaction with our clients, and the need to preserve appropriate staffing levels, Palos Animal Hospital has elected to continue to require facial coverings while in our facility.

COVID-19 has always been a very fluid scenario, and we want to take measured steps towards lifting mitigation requirements. My hope is that in a short period of time, we will be able to adjust our own requirements. I appreciate your understanding and ask that you please be respectful of our requirements.

Thank you!
-Dr. Jeff
