Meet Casey, NaJu Pets Resort's new General Manager! 🐾

Casey and her family moved to Florida from Nashville, Tennessee, in 2020 to fulfill their dream of living near the beach. Casey has always loved animals and began working for NaJu in November 2020 as a pet shuttle driver. She was later promoted to assistant manager and has now reached the position of General Manager. Casey's natural leadership skills, attention to detail, and unwavering dedication to going the extra mile are just a few of the qualities that make her the perfect fit for the NaJu Pets family. We are thrilled to have Casey as such an integral part of our team. Help us congratulate Casey!

Dear NaJu Pets Community,

We want to take a moment to sincerely thank you all for your understanding and patience following an unfortunate incident that occurred last month. We have been listening intently to your concerns and feedback, and we deeply appreciate your constructive criticism. It has always been our mission to provide a fun, upbeat, clean, and above all, safe environment for your beloved pets, and we are committed to making significant improvements to ensure such an incident never happens again.

Our primary goal remains to uphold the trust and confidence that you have placed in us over the past 50 years. We are diligently working to reinforce the qualities you have come to know and trust while implementing necessary changes to address areas of concern.

Here are some of the actions we have taken thus far:

Management Changes: We have made significant changes in our upper management team. The NaJu Pets owner, along with the new upper management, is now working 6-7 days a week, closely engaging with our team to ensure proper procedures and processes are strictly followed. This hands-on approach has bolstered employee confidence, morale, and overall quality control.

Policy Enhancements: We have reinforced our current socialization policies and implemented stricter standards to guarantee pet safety.

Enhanced Monitoring: We are in the process of having 47 cameras installed throughout our facility to monitor staff, work areas, and pets. These cameras can be viewed both onsite and remotely by management to ensure continuous quality control and accountability.

Comprehensive Training Program: We are creating a digital training program with videos and a multiple-choice Q&A section. This will be mandatory for all new and current employees, with annual retraining to keep everyone up-to-date with our standards.

Improved Cleaning Procedures: We have modified our daycare cleaning procedures and schedule to ensure that turf play areas remain as dry as possible during the day, providing a safer environment for the pets.

We want to assure you that we are not brushing off the incident or your concerns. Our commitment to you and your pets' safety is unwavering. We are dedicated to making NaJu Pets a place where you feel confident leaving your pets, knowing they are in a safe, caring, and well-supervised environment. At NaJu Pets Resort and Salon, we are deeply saddened by the recent incident involving Jagger, a beloved puppy who was under our care last Thursday, April 25. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to Jagger and his family during this time and are committed to his recovery.

Jagger was engaging with two other puppies of similar size and age at our pet resort location, under continuous supervision by our staff, and there were no concerns observed throughout the day. However, towards the end of the day, while our staff was managing the departure of pets, we discovered that Jagger had unexpectedly sustained injuries. Our team acted immediately: Jagger was taken to our grooming area for first aid and cleaning of his wounds.

There was direct involvement from our owner, who personally spoke with Ms. Ward, Jagger's owner, to ensure she was fully informed and to express our commitment to Jagger's care. We urged immediate veterinary attention, and NaJu paid the veterinary bill, reaffirming our responsibility for Jagger’s well-being.

Transparency and accountability are paramount at NaJu. We take full responsibility for this incident and are making every effort to ensure such an event never happens again. We appreciate the community's support and concern, and it serves as a reminder of the immense responsibility we hold in caring for your beloved pets.

We are earnestly working to regain your trust and welcome any feedback on how we can improve our services. Your trust is essential, and we are dedicated to restoring and maintaining it.

Thank you for your understanding and support as we navigate this challenging situation. Our thoughts are with Jagger and his family, and we are hopeful for his full and speedy recovery.
