What an incredible weekend at the Treasure Valley Pheasants Forever Youth hunt! We were able to get a bunch of kids on their first ever birds! One kid kept on saying “I’m gonna become a professional pheasant hunter when I grow up” 😂 I explained to him the amount of dogs he’ll need to have and all of the joy that this life could bring you. Safe to say he loved it and will be back for more.

Thank you Tony Arneson for all of your hard work organizing and putting this together and of course thank you to all of the other volunteers and handlers for your time! Tony, you did a fantastic job of teaching our youth how to properly handle a gun in the field safely, so thank you for that! Another thanks to 2C Pheasant Hunt for allowing us to your club and show these kids what it’s all about. You have a real stand up operation going.

As Jacob begins his upland journey this season, he is poised for success with the addition of two experienced dogs, Nova and Chief, to his team. With a focus on offering guided hunts, Jacob has made a strategic investment in these dogs, which will undoubtedly prove to be invaluable assets. Although it's difficult to part with such exceptional dogs, I am confident that they will excel in their new roles and demonstrate their impressive skills. At CCK, we are committed to developing and refining well-bred dogs that can be relied upon to perform in any setting, be it in the field, at home, or as loyal companions. Update for some of my clients. We will be back to our bird camp grind tomorrow morning! Thank you for understanding and being patient with me for 3 days as I was making sure the PW dogs were all safe and taken care of. I’m sure these dogs are ready to get back to work! As am I 😄

Pigeon hunt to prepare the dogs for a duck season..

Willow and Bob 🔥👊🏼 Another CCK training day complete. Starting to see some great progress in the dogs that have come out on a week to week basis. Gotta love a puppy with a brain!Super happy with this pup I got from The Pet Hopper and Tom Lyons. This is my second dog from him and I couldn’t be more pleased. She is a little fireball with a lot of love in her. Hopefully she’ll turn out just as nice as Xeno!

Got the pups moved out to the barn today! Pups are getting more and more active, putting on proper weight, and are looking good! After talking with my list of people it looks like I have 2 males and a female still available. If you’re looking for a top notch bird dog, look no further! Fields are mowed and ready for training days

Rose- Client dog

Rose (client dog) is very impressively putting all the pieces together. Today was her first day of having birds shot over her and be expected to stand as a broke dog. She is wearing all of the proper training jewelry, however no stimulation was needed throughout this process. Lots of ground and check cord work in the beginning is key to this process.
